They are but I feel like they're dropping from photorealism using actual texture images of the actors faces to a more stylised look, where the textures are probably digital paintings (as opposed to photographs)

What the. I just got an email saying the release date for the RO Version Stormtrooper has been delayed to December 2017, a whole year. Could this be correct? This was my most anticipated figure and I already paid CDJapan $100.

To me, it looks like all of these are just the lighting.

I think the face printing technology has improved, not gotten worse at all. It seems like they have just refined it more. Look at how amazing the promo photos are, why would bet change it?

Yeah and the email was from a .fr, so it's definitely the 12th of this month. I guess I just didn't think I would get an email "warning" with an earlier date so I went right to next december. Phew.

when can we expect the Specialist version of the Death Trooper to go up for pre-order? Those are the ones I want, was a little disappointed with the outcome of the standard Death Trooper. Even though I didn't care for Rogue One all that much the designs are some of the best in the SW Universe.
