Actually, the exclusives are exactly the same rank of price than the regular ones. The overprice comes with the re-selling by the online stores.

Its a bit of both tbh. Tamashii doesnt put up the prices, but they dont allow bulk ordering of them for cheaper prices by stores, they have to pay per item at retail value which they then have to make a profit on.

Technically web exs are only supposed to be purchased direct from tamashii, but stores have started doing it for us if that makes sense?

My question is; can I purchase at Tamashii web from Europe?
If it's possible, I guess that the shipping method will be EMS, so I will have to pay customs for sure. At this point, it seems it's almost the same to buy at Tamashii web with EMS that on an online store with SAL shipping.

Is there an advantage to buying from Tamashii? All of the exclusives show up at CDJapan, and I have been really happy with them. Wondering if there is a difference now.

I might be alone on this one but I would have much preferred Finn in his regular clothes. The trooper version of him seems kinda boring. I guess it was pretty cost effective though. Just had to make a new head and slap a little red on a helmet.

IMO, trooper Finn is such a cop out lol.

I'm sure We'll get a regular Finn along with Rey eventually.

If you have no desire for other troopers, trooper Finn is amazing and feels like a two-for-one. Otherwise it's boring.

Definitely not alone on that one. I think most of us here would've preferred the main look of his but I'll take this one since this knew better than nothing. We'll no doubt get his other look but like Tamashii always does, they went with the easy release first.

Also, that head looks terrible. They need to take a look at how John Boyega looked in the film, not his chubby stunt double.

Received a sturdy box from AmiAmi yesterday, with an equally robust £35 customs charge attached to it...

The new lid is basically the opposite of the previous version, that one looked bad in photos and better in-hand while this one looks off somehow in-hand but just right in photos.

Attachment points on the shoulders make me think we'll be seeing Sandtroopers or Jedha patrol sooner rather than later. Wouldn't mind an officer either.

Impressive attention to detail: they got the "pinch" at the base of the shoulder pad correct.

My Shoretroopers had some pretty poor paint QC, the Tank Commander is a great improvement in that regard. Love the design.

I think I've given up on Qui-Gon now. Sad, but I think he'll just be another display piece that never makes production.

So at that Disney Japan Expo, you can see the Figuarts displayed to the left of all the Bandai model kits. If you look in the very bottom left corner, SHF R2-D2 is chillin' next to a "No Photos" sign. Could this mean the droids are finally coming? Since we haven't seen them displayed in a hot minute?

The heads on Obi are amazing in real life. Even looking at my own oicsnifnhik they look off, the real deal is so much better.
