You can still be successful and have a horrible score, but RT can definitely do some damage to a movie's rep.

The movie will most probs be OK and average at best. We're guys circa 30/40 years old anticipating a movie about college kids that have special powers. If we accept that then there's a chance we might find some enjoyment. If not then like I said it's a movie about teenagers - we're not the target audience.

Wall e is targeted at babies yet it is critically acclaimed.
Same goes for toy story 3.

I dont know, guardians of galaxy in theory sounds stupid as hell
But it was a movie that a 5 year old and a 70 year old can enjoy.
