Re: POISON IVY & DKR HT BATMAN @ Super Power Collectibles!

Who would want to live in Alberta? I sure don't want to be there in the winter season. Over half a year that the temperature is lower then zero degrees. That's why the taxes are low and jobs are plentiful but yet they can't find people to migrate there.

Che. Please, people are constantly moving to Alberta.
There are more job opportunities here because Calgary has the 2nd highest amount of head office in Canada with all the oil and gas companies. We don't have province tax cause of oil/gas royalties, not because we're trying to get people to migrate here.
The weather is colder, but we live in Canada, it's expected! If you can't deal with -20C and below temperature you can't call yourself true Canadian.

Yup.... Proud I'm not a true Canadian then :rolleyes2 I'll settle for mountains, lush trees, a Pacific Ocean, scenery and rain than boring flat land, tiny trees (if you can call it that) & -20C any day of the week. :wink1:

I was offered the same job doubled my salary to work in Alberta and I'd turned it down. If a Province doesn't offer certain qualities of life that I seek, then no amount of money will sway me.

Re: POISON IVY & DKR HT BATMAN @ Super Power Collectibles!

we all know Toronto is the place to be...end of discussion :nana:

(I am kidding btw, lots of beautiful places to live in Canada)

Re: POISON IVY & DKR HT BATMAN @ Super Power Collectibles!

Lol you guys kills me!

Canada is all beautiful!

I love living in Toronto and have been lucky to travel through most of the country. I'd have to say that the east coast (NB, PEI,) and BC have to be the most beautiful places in our country. If I had to move it would be to one of those provinces. I was in Vancouver for 3 months about 2 years ago and absolutely loved it.

Yeah, cause the parries provinces apparently have no old forests even though it's older than BC. And apparently you can't see the mountains from Alberta either. Yes the parries are extremely flat, we don't even have hills.:rolleyes2
It sucks that we have all four seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall, instead of depressing rain all year round. It's terrible that we can go skiing in our backyard in winter time and water rafting in the summer. We don't have a quality of life at all, despite most reports saying it's still one of the highest worldwide and home ownership being the highest in the country . *end of sarcasm*

Each area has it's unique traits that makes it great. not everyone has same ideals of a quality of life. Some people enjoy certain aspects of life more and take the others for granted. I don't have anything against B.C, I actually go ever year to visit family and have a great time. But I do get pissy when people talk down about my home.
Let's leave it at that.

at least we can all agree it's better to live in Canada than south of the border:D

Marcio, I am hoping SS keeps Galactus "reasonably" priced. Let me know what you can do with him, my friend.
