I think part of my viewpoints have to do with the fact that I've been to those places and I have met many people from that region. You won't believe the kind of attitude most of them have towards the US. If they had a choice, they would choose Saddam any day over any US lead government. But people are entitled to their own point of views. I guess we'll see down the road what good all of this did.

Its sad that the world is the way it is. It is sad the Saddam grew up to me such a terrible monsterous thug (a powerful thug, but basically a thug, none the less). I doubt it will restore anything positive to Iraq but at least someone will be able to move on in life.

As for carbo's viewpoint: I don't see why everyone is deleting his opinion as if it might hurt someone. We all have a right to express our opinion, whether it be about George Bush, Saddam, lack of Medieval F'n Kurgan, whatever....

They're deleting them because I requested them to do so. I think there's enough tension on this board as is and another argument, esp. about politics, wouldn't fare so well.
