That will cost you.
I met this guy at a old collector store we both used to attend. We both loved Transformers and body building. So it was easy to go out of our way and invite eachother to things like parties. Anyway, Shaun was a bright guy. A very sweet person who I felt was taken far too early in his life. But what blew me away is how Hasbro acknowledged this fellow collector's life.

Here is a link...

That's a picture of him with none other than Mr. Optimus Prime himself, Peter Cullen.

You'll be forever missed Shaun.

i'll say a prayer for him and his family and friends. my thoughts are with you eli.

I never realized how popular he was within the Transformer fandom community. He'll even have a memorial at this year's Botcon and if you do a google search on his name it's mind blowing how many Transformer sites come up. I knew he was well received through that community, but I am even astonished. Not surprised though, since he loved that community so much and the toys and collectors that make it so kick ass.

That's why I give mad props to all of you SideShow Freaks out there!

Seeing that kind of response makes me realize that even though the majority of us don't see eachother face to face, and the furthest our friendships maybe on forums like these, the friendships are every bit as special and meaningful as if we lived in the same city and grew up together.

I love my SideShow Freaks! Thanks for welcoming me into your guys' world!

It is always sad to see some one leave us at such an early age. It is great that Hasbro acknowledged his love for their product. That says alot about the class of such a corporation. My condolences goes out to his family and friends.
Eli, I am sorry for your loss.

I feel bad because Shaun and I didn't talk for a while... he told me his condition... I'll know more when I go to the funeral. I believe he was a hemophiliac. Anyway, that's what they said to donate money to...hemophilia society. So I added 2 + 2 and got 4.

I really wished I had kept in touch with him. He became busy with his life as I did with mine. To spend some extra time before he died would have been nice. I miss our talks, going to see movies with groups of people. Talking about women, how our moms drive us crazy... lol Anime, gym stuff..how he loved going to those Botcon conventions.

Such a smart caring guy that so many people cared about.

And yes I was touched that Hasbro issued out a press release and statment on their Transformer fan site. I thought that was so classy. Same with tfw2005 for acknowledging his life. Shows a lot that the world does in fact care. Lives are meant to be cherished. They are so valuable.

MAn!! He did not get to see the movie! im pretty sure he wanted to! and the thought of that is just killing me! Not Fair! Prayers to him and his family!

28 is far too young!! My heart goes out to all who knew him and will feel this loss.

It sounds like his life will be remembered and celebrated by his friends and family! Meanwhile, I hope that heaven will get an advance screening of the movie just for him.

You and P!tu are silly. While I would say that's stupid, knowing Shaun he would actually want that. He loves Transformers more than P!tu and me combined and yes that's an assumption, but the guy lived the fandom.. he constantly went to botcons by himself. He knew every detail about every series... heck, he was a bloody Transformer! Okay, whatever that means.

But he was a great guy. Had good morals. Didn't put up with BS. You got on his bad side and you're out of there. He didn't take crap from no one!

I'll definitely miss him. Nobody should die at 28.

Thanks guys! All of you! You're some amazing peeps!

I love how this community is so caring. Probably why I love coming back here, even though some of you spread rumors about me. You know what rumors and who you are. *gives the look*

Seriously though, I really appreciate the kind words. I'll try and relay this to the family, if I have the nerve. I am not really good at talking at funerals. Especially when it's not my family and I don't know the late individual's relatives or friends too well.

My condolences aswell. Tis a shame for someone to pass away at such a young age of 24.:monkey2
