I spent about 6 months straight of my teen years on the original Saints Row. To me, that's still the best one. The others have been good, but never felt as good as the original did. I much preferred when Saints Row was just a less-serious GTA, with a few far-fetched happenings. Not the completely over-the-top, all the time thing that started in SR3. Saints Row 1 had much more drama than 2 and 3 put together, but still had the same sense of humour along with great timing which made it fun to play.

Saints Row 2 retained some good elements from the first, and a few new things that were a nice addition, but the multiplayer was a horrible down-grade. "Protect The Pimp" and "Blinged out Ride" were so fun in the original I don't understand why they removed them for the sequel. I can't even remember what the online game modes were called in SR2.

Going back to IV, as said above, it looks more like Saints Row 3.5 than a whole new game.

This is Saints Row 3.5. This started off as a DLC pack but the story was so epic the producers decided to make it a stand-alone sequel. Crazy how it looks EXACTLY like SR3.

I can see some reviews being harsh on it for being too similar to SR3 and yet being a full on sequel by name. They might have been better off actually calling it Saints Row 3.5 or something like "Saints Row: The Third and three quarters", or something different to normal knowing their humour.

I agree with all the comments. Definitely looks like Saint's Row 3.25, 3.5 whatever...

But I don't care, Saint's Row 3 was one of the funniest and most fun games I played in a long time. I can't WAIT for this one and the craziness it looks to bring!

Indeed, more Saints Row 3 is no bad thing in my book.

That said, I'll be waiting for reviews, as who knows how much THQ going under might have affected the final game.

Freckle *****es was class yeah, personally the thing I miss the most are the gangs from the first game. The Westside Rollers were okay but mate the Vice Kings and Los Carnales were wicked.

Another thing that definitely needs a comeback soon was the radio station WMD KBOOM 108, the station that was just the Mike and David talk show. That was one of the funniest things ever when I first heard it, and the only reason it wasn't in SR2 was because they couldn't get a script finished in time for release date apparently.

SR3 kicked my ***. I cant get past the first few missions. What am i missing?

Are you serious?

You can level your character up. You might want to work on that.

The play mechanics in SR3 are even better than GTA in my opinion. GTA has an awkward "floaty" feel, SR3 is sharp as hell...almost makes you prefer being on foot than in a car.
