I want PJ first and foremost. I don't have a problem with Sam Raimi doing it because I am a huge Raimi fan. I agree with Dave. I believe Sam would do an excellent job. Imagine the scenes with the spiders done in Raimi's characteristic style.
Of course I am left wondering what cameo Bruce Campbell would make in the Hobbit or how Sam would works his 1973 Olds in.
Still, the merger of one of my favorite directors with one of my favorite books could be interesting.
No matter who directs I would have to be comfortable taking my daughter. She loved the book when I read it to her last year. And hey, while enjoyable to all ages, the Hobbit is primarily a children's book.
