That would be unfortunate if Saturn/Mars Toys don’t try to replicate the HT body for Robin. The Bruce Lee body is too muscular. Even though Burt Ward was pretty fit back then (you can usually see his bicep veins when in his Robin outfit), he wasn’t Bruce Lee fit.

But I guess all things considered, it wouldn’t be that bad since not much of the arms are exposed.

The HT Slim is still a rare body type. For $122.50 it's got to be something basic and readily available.

It's very exciting to see all this '66 Batman love.

I really hope they stick with it and continue the line. But even if they stop right now, they've done a great service.

I hope Saturn or Mars will also do Burton Batman... that promised gangster Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, and Max Shrek. 3rd party will be the only way we're going to see these I fear.

I get that. You quoted me before I finished editing my post 😅

I don’t understand what’s so difficult about replicating the slim or any other body that HT has made though. I mean Toys Era and SooSoo have copied the Captain America and Dr Strange type bodies, DafToys have copied the Anakin type body, everyone and their mom copies the original narrow and wolverine bodies; yet no one tackles the slim TrueType, the Arnold or the Superman/Vader bodies for some reason.

That is a mystery.

Worldbox makes a big range of jointed bodies, but they aren't cheap.

DAF Toys, that other third party with an interest in Batman, used a unique body for their Scarecrow that I'd never seen before. It was slim, but too tall.

Hmmmm
Seriously tempted to get these and go all in on this line - they would look great...
And the price for these two is fantastic.

Good news for those who didn’t get the original HT. Hopefully Marx or Saturn will make a nice Batgirl. Great to see other companies producing characters that HT has ignored for years.

If these look decent I'll pick them up. The HT versions have very fragile suits and I'd feel more comfortable sticking these in the Jazzinc Batmobile in case they snag.

I was fortunate to pick up the HT set for $50 (that's not a typo) back when no one wanted them, this is definitely a good deal for those who missed out.

So these are most certainly just the Hot Toys figures they’re using for their promotional photos, and the final product will fall well short of them yes? Feel like these bootleg companies have used that tactic before.

I don't have the originals, but the close up shots of the portraits don't seem to have the richness of HT paint, and the eyes seem a little more third-partyish. Also the stranding on Robin's hair looks less detailed than I'd have expected out of HT.

So yes, third parties do as you say often, but I am not sure these are.

probably. but based on in-hand reviews, their KO of '89 Joker wasn't all that bad considering the price. I think most were pretty happy with it. Outside of close ups, I think it was hard to tell the two apart unless they were directly side by side, especially at viewing distance.

I think with any 3rd party figure, especially one that's KOing a HT figure at that, if you go in expecting HT quality you're more than likely going to be disappointed.
