I thought that Sauron was 14 feet tall? Maybe I'm confused, and all my LOTR books are packed up at the moment (the film-reference ones)

Sideshow does need to make Sauron and a Cave Troll in the 1:6 action figure line though.

Yeah, the hobbits aren't quite as tiny as some would think. Tolkien explains that they used to be taller than they are today--Merry and Pippen were over 4 1/2 feet tall at the end of their adventures, and Frodo was also know to be particularly tall and fair for a hobbit. Nowadays they are smaller than they once were, never exceeding three feet, but before it was anywhere from two to four. Sam was the shortest of the four hobbits.
