If you haven't bought anything, you haven't lost anything, but no, once you've bought three items, ebay will say that you've exceeded the limit on the BIN screen.

i mean the next time the 20% off comes up, can you then again buy a max of $250/3 items?

I fear not.. it says

Sorry, you've exceeded the maximum cashback awards per account.

# You may receive Cashback Rewards for up to a maximum of three (3) Online Sessions per account on www.ebay.com. Once you have completed three (3) Online Sessions under any eBay.com account, you will no longer be eligible to receive Cashback Rewards for purchases made under such eBay.com account. If you have exceeded the limit of permitted Cashback Rewards, eBay will notify you on the purchase review page of the “Buy-It-Now” transaction process. Please review the purchase review page carefully before you “commit to buy”. Cashback Rewards can not be transferred or applied to multiple eBay.com accounts;

I think it all hinges on ebay accounts.. maybe I'll have to make some more.

here's the response from Live Customer Service:

"Thank you for contacting Live Search cashback Customer Support! You can use this eBay promotion for 3 sessions per account. A session is the time between signing in your eBay account, and then signing out. I believe the maximum time per session is one hour. The amount of cashback you are allowed to earn total between these three sessions is $250. This $250 is set whether you buy an item at 35% cashback or 20% cashback. Unfortunately it is not $250 per percentage. If you happen to have or want to create multiple eBay accounts, you are able to have 3 sessions PER account. This is a small loophole you are more than welcome to use. =) I hope this answers all of your questions, and please don't hesitate to reply if there is anything else I can help you with! Have a great day!"

That's some valuable info, thanks! So, I take it that I can continue using the same Paypal and Live accounts?

Yeah that would suck - make a ton of purchases with various ebay accounts only to find that they have to be separate paypal and/or live accounts...

I've also heard about people selling and buying their own things on ebay just to collect the $$$ - but I'd be very afraid of what would happen if you got caught doing such a thing...

your question made me ask that same question and about the $250 TOTAL as opposed to PER SESSION...(I have $305 showing as my savings so I asked if M$ is going to lower that amount since she stated in what I posted above that it was $250 TOTAL for all 3 sessions)

"I apologize!! My information in the first e-mail was wrong. You can actually have up to $250 cashback PER session. So of course, your cashback won't be lowered. My mistake, and I sincerely apologize for that! As for the eBay accounts, you shouldn't have any problem using the same e-mail address or PayPal account for other accounts, as far as I am able to tell. I can tell you that the cashback portion of the purchases shouldn't have any problem. They won't be linked or anything, but you may want to check with eBay Support regarding that question. I am not sure if you can sign up for multiple accounts with the same e-mail and PayPal accounts. Have a good day!"

Looks like were back to 10-15% for the night. Here's hoping for some 30's action tomorrow!!

:duff

So, sorry to ask a question that seems to already have been asked, but I'm confused.

I have already made 3 purchases on my only Ebay account using the LIVE cashback rewards. Total due back is going to be right around $250. Is it true that I would not be able to use this Ebay account any longer AND get LIVE cashback rewards with this account? So I should make a new Ebay account?

Yes, that ebay account is done. Based on Vader AL's info, it looks like you can create a new ebay account and link it to the same paypal / live accounts... BUT I have not tried this myself yet.

Be careful when using multiple Ebay accounts.

Some have been suspended and others banned for doing that.

Not that it means anything, but this image resides on ebay's servers, interesting.

I wish they would give some kind of indication to whether the discount will ever go up again or not - but I guess that ruins the fun...

$200,000 car for $10k. Yeah, I've got a couple cards with high enough credit limits to make that work. Sadly, I don't think I'll be getting the chance to buy a $10k Ferrari or Lambo, though, so it's back to reality. :monkey2
