Funny thing about Dana Gould. My cousin met him while he was performing at a comedy show she was organizing in my area. He is a TOTAL APE FREAK! She told him about me and he really wanted to meet me so he gave her his email to give to me. I have yet to email him... I just don't know how to start the ball rolling.

She also told him about my recent trip to the Caesar statue and how I was saddened to see it in such disrepair. He said he knew the people responsible for the restoration of that piece and he would inform them of the situation. He also offered to make me a Caesar statue from the mopld made from the original statue at cost... which would be about $1500. Yeah, like I have that much "chimp-change"!

It is also interesting to note that he currently lives in Roddy McDowall's house. A total coincedence too... he was at the right place at the right time.

Had you kept your HT gorillas you could have combined parts from all 3 to create Urko(I tried this myself when I first had them,thus...

Essentially, I used the body and uniform from the soldier, Ursus' head, helmet,collar and gloves and the Lt,'s belt and gun.Low tech, but effective(also pricey, as you need all 3 to do it)...PS

Yeah, I played around like that too, then put everything where it belonged but.....
Jess, could you make just a faceplate as well as the head? Imagine that attached to a HT haired head? Glorious!

Monkeybat i need to play with urko. I think a helmeted sculpt and a plain
headsculpt. When i get some time i need to make the mold and cast and go from there.

I just cut some round clear plastic to simulate glasses so you can see how close i am getting to capturing her features. I ordered a pair from Etsy so that is enroute.

Well it looks like we will FINALLY get our first glimpse of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes when the first trailer of the film will be released next Wednesday!

I'm SO stoked!

Looks like somebody is finally making 1:6 scale horses. In this case it is Asmus for their Lord of the Rings line.

Hopefully they will be made available separately through retails or people on eBay.
