Hey, that's not fair!! :monkey2

I did try to make this guy. I just didn't like the plastic Hasbro belt and vest. I wonder if the Hasbro color will work with the new HT Apes.

Its like the Trek guys are in the background saying:
"look at the funny monkey in the plastic belt"
LOL

Stickman! Those R & R customs are top notch! I am glad you you posted those pics! What a realistic scene that it makes. I love everything pictured and the tent is very cool. Where did you get the white tent anyway?:D

Hey Angel! I still would like to get at least one of your custom Apes flags from you. I never did get any. Can you get motivated into making them again. I also would like to have at least three more Conquest armbands.:monkey5

Question for Angel and all! I have switched out the original SS Gorilla heads for four of Angels Gorilla Custom sculpts and now I have to find bodies for the left over Sideshow Gorilla heads to use as conquest Apes in Jumpsuits. Where (Not including their SS original bodies) can I find the best bodies to accomadate these Gorilla heads? Thanks to all that reply!

Thank you Angel, Everything opens and is fully functional. The desk is beyond words, it even has little locks on it. The bread crates have tiny loaves wrapped, labeled, individually tied, and snugly covered with minute sawdust particles.

The canon shells, have a range chart, and are painted.

The ammo, chairs, table etc are all amazing. I love their work, and they really love it too and it truly shows.

BTW - That tent reminds me the "test experiment" that was used to shoot the initial POTA footage with Edward G. Robinson wearing Dr. Zaius makeup.

KFog - Everyone is going to have his or her own opinion, but it's really up to you to decide what is best for the project. Cost is always a BIG factor to me. I bought about 10 dragon bodies (from eBay) and turned 90% of them into various Conquest apes. I've also used generic bodies from Sideshow for the taller apes.

Ironman once talked about the possibility of getting interested persons together and then buying some shorter apelike bodies. He posted it somewhere on this thread. I remember he posted a picture and talked about the shipping costs.

For me, it all boils down to low cost. I believe that almost anything will work for my needs. So far, I've used Dragon bodies and generic Sideshow bodies.

Hope that helps. :angelsmil

You're right Angel, the tent does look like that. Anyone have any Edgar G. Robinson or James Brolin sculpts?? :rotfl

Kfog, Angel's right (again), the body choices come down to what each person's favorites and abilites are. I tried to get an order together for some Yamato bodies, thats the ones Angel was talking about, awhile ago. No one wanted in at the time and I'm not even sure if the place still has them They are shorter than the average 1:6 body which works well for most apes. The articulation is reminiscent of the old Ideal Captain Action bodies.
Other than that a BBi G3 or G3.5 will work as will recent Hot Toys bodies. I don't have one but it looks like Sideshow's Prometheus body would also do the job. Those are the easiest bodies to switch heads to that I know of. Of course, if one wants to adapt the neck of a figure or the underside of the POTA head then whole other realms of possibilities open up.

Kfog - These red jumpsuits can frequently be found on eBay. If you have some extra SS gorilla heads, buy a generic body and a red jumpsuit. After painting a pair of boots the right color red you’ve got an easy custom! Do it!

I then attached some red ribbon to the jumpsuit to simulate pockets. I also put apoxy over the human hands to simulate hair. :angelsmil

I made it out of my old shower curtain. :D

The ape bodies are unique as the use the roto cast heads. You'll need the peg I believe so this could be a challenge, also the apes weren't on 12" figure bodies as they only stood about 11.5" tall. Maybe you can use the DiD, or Dragon DML young bodies, i.e. Hitler Youth bodies and mod the neck to accept the Gorilla head?

:lol I remember that scene, just imagine if the pilot wasn't accepted, we wouldn't have the apes we so dearly love today.

I'm hoping to one day have a canvas CW tent, but no one seems to be making them.
