Very cool!
Did you ever see Dead End? The Joker was played by Andrew Koenig, TV Trek Chekov's son who just took his own life last week up in Canada. Best comic-to-screen Joker too!
Do you know how to conact Sandy?

I will give Sandy your e-mail address through a PM at the MegoMuseum. I have never seen any of the Batman films. I heard about Andrew Koenig.

It's not worth the price in that auction, but it does add a bit of variety for those of us that can't sculpt.

Looking at it now, I really need to try a repaint on it.

As for the Batman film, its worth the 8 minute watch IMHO.

That's a great looking monkey!!! :monkey5 :monkey5 :monkey5

I'm seriously tempted to get it... love the sculptiong of the hair. But I haven't even considered buying any Megos for nearly a decade. And what little money I can squirrel away is going to other projects.

Also, I'm not a big fan of the TV Zaius (understatement) but that orangutan doesn't necessarily have to be him.

I have. Not much of a plot per se, but the lighting and composition is amazing. It's has sort of visual "dynamic-ness" (real word?) that is missing in the current and past versions of Batman. :banghead:banghead:banghead

Dead End should be required viewing for any director about to mount a superhero film.

That sculpt looks amazing.

Hey IM, can you forward your old script to me again? I seemed to have misplaced it. Thanks :)

Nope.
When I reread it I didn't like some of it so ... out it went.
I did, however, while waiting for the kids to get out of school yesterday, start a rewrite trying to incorporate some of the ideas you mentioned. I will forward what I have so far to you later today. Its "Read Across America" and I am reading to my son's grade. When I get back I'll sent it along.

Just read what you posted IM, so disregard my last question. I liked how you were very descriptive with the FZ scene, too bad it is now lost forever - in the Forbidden Zone.

Aw shucks, IM. You should never delete anything--you should keep them as drafts. That's why I love gmail....they don't throw out your old mail like AOL does....you can always retrieve your sent items.

You guys are making me think. Way to early for me to start that. :D
I tossed my hard copy, but I never checked my computer to see if I still have it there. I'll check later and let you know Sticks!

Guys...I have been a busy monkey. Here are a set of Boba Fett suits Mego scale, which are 80% complete:

I'm wearing my contact lenses (can't find my glasses)...but I'm going to try to finish sculpting Pete tonight so I can make a mold of him and see if he's any better.

Are those all different customers of yours wanting those blue jumpsuits or are you just a big Bobba Fett fan? What is Bobba Fett? Is that Star Wars? They look very good Jessica. :maul

You're asking the wrong monkey, Angel, but thank you. I have never seen Star Wars...but I THINK it's from Star Wars. These suits pictured are the suits that have been ordered. The creator of all the knee pads and whatnot that goes on top of the suits wanted a grey color instead of the blue jumpsuits.

On another side note, Pete is now sitting in a mold. When it's cured, I will pour the other half and hopefully today I can see how he looks as a cast. For sure his face is bigger.

I know this is a bit "out of the blue" but I wanted to share with you a "holy grail" of sorts that I would LOVE to possess. Maybe someday.

Okay, the release date of the original Planet of the Apes has been tagged with two dates. One, February 8, 1968. Two April 3, 1968. The later one was on my 5th birthday. From what I've read on the subject, release dates for films were different back in the sixties. Openning weekends weren't stressed as much so films had a more regional roll out, gathering up momentum through word of mouth. But ultimately this is only a guess.

Anyway, a few years ago I went to the San Diego Comic Con and found this half sheet:

The funny thing about this half sheet (which isn't pictured here) was that it had the release date of April 3rd printed at the bottom. I was aware of these character half sheets but I didn't know that they had that date printed on them.

So for the last couple of years since that Comic Con, I've been searching eBay (and other avenues) for this "holy grail" of a half sheet

... with the April 3rd release date. I think that it would be SOOOO cool to have a Dr. Zaius character half sheet with my birthday on it. I would literally pay TOP dollar for it.:D

Yeah PZ...for you to have that Dr. Zaius half sheet with your b-day printed on it would be totally awesome. Good luck in your quest.

Jess, you've NEVER seen Star Wars?! How is that possible? You ought to give it a look, you know...PS
