WHEN WILL SIDESHOW HIRE A GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER?!?!?!

Nice piece!

Anyone else anticipating a companion "Final Battle" version of this bust down the line? You know, crazy & enraged face, coked up and all that, wearing the black suit? :lol

good question

I bought because I know it would be very expensive to get from evilbay

considering I will pay like 160 $ shipping to Turkey, I confirm that I did not buy for flipping.

I like the bust when I see the preview last week and stated on the other thread that I will buy this.

even with a low es on this piece In my opinion this will go for less than retail after a while. Definitely can't see it holding value.

Oh I don't think so (Obi wan kenobi EPII & EP III)

as someone already stated, this bust is such cool that there are lots of people out there that are not even aware of Sideshow or this bust right now.

eg: you can easily sell it to a cinema-theater, bar...etc

I know a cinema at Istanbul whose owner would pay so much money to this for his decor

With coke (llello) on his nose! :lol

PsychoCenobite :monkey5

Agreed.

60 is not that many for such a popular character. I am surprised the ES is this low.

Scarface seems to be going through one of those cycles when he is cool and in style all of a sudden. You suddenly see teens wearing Scarface t-shirts and such at the mall. Going down below retail? :lol :lol :lol

There are those in the Hollywood community alone who would gladly shell out big bucks to have this piece in their office or home theatre, and the bragging rights that only 60 were made... and that doesn't include the Music Industry, they would shell out considerably more, especially the rich blingy rappers... :D

LOL, you remind me of the guy on StatueForum who argued w/ me that the Classic Spideys would be worth $375.:lol

This piece is almost guaranteed to hold its value.

time will tell, it's just my opinion and experience in market research talking. I think the fan base is being blown way out of proportion just because we're in a thread full of collectors who like the piece. Once you look outside this niche group, you don't have a huge base of Scarface + collector fans out there. I never had any doubt that the Spiderman would hold its value. Spiderman + Collectors and a very low es = big value and a much larger pool of fans who are collectors, hence the demand being much higher than the supply leading to big bucks.

Right... like the one million fans who bought the Scarface video game in October alone.

Nah, I just think that the majority of Scarface fans(myself included) don't want caricatures(Mezco) or dolls of Tony. We want something badass, and that'll look good...which I think this bust gives.

I mean, cos people forget what the majority of Scarface fans are like...

The people who got one in this thread already make up about 1/3rd of the Edition size. Im SURE there are many more people out there who had no idea it was going up for sale in Thursday's Newsletter that will be aching to get ahold of this on the secondary market.

There are so many spider man items with so high ES.

This bust is awesome so far and only limited to 60.

if you take into account that 30 people will not sell their's, then you might figure how high the remaining 30 will be in the secondary market

Not to mention the people that bought more than one through their other accounts.

I think the demand will be there mostly because this one snuck on a lot of people. Collectors had a week to discuss and prepare for the Spidey PF variants knowing it was going to be VERY limited. I don't think anyone forsaw only 60 Scarface busts.

Don't forget about all the rappers and wannabe gangstas that love everything Scarface.

This would be a cool piece to display in their crib.

:)

Prices will go up.

Exactly. Every rapper on MTV's Cribs has something Scarface related.
