Okay, I just jumped on this...

I always wanted the Limited Edition of SCULPTING A GALAXY. Problem is, I could never justify the $395.00 price tag. It even dipped to about $275 on Amazon once and I still couldn't. Well, now I did... because for a limited time Deep Discount has it for $149.99 (+ Free shipping). That is discount of $240!!

If you're on the fence I suggested taking advantage of this as well. No way this book will ever be found cheaper (unless someone on eBay decides to ditch a used copy someday):

Really a great deal for this package. I think the normal one is $30 to $40. Shame the UK Amazon doesn't have this deal.

Years ago I was able to sell a regular edition for over $500 on ebay. :rock

Huh? The regular edition that lists for $50 (yes, FIFTY) and can be found at just about any bookstore?

(Who wants a crappy book on Star Wars anyway???)

Well, SW may be lame these days, but reference books are always good to have, especially one on this subject matter and with this much kewl (mostly OT) content. :joy

Man, if I wasn't strapped from the November Sideshow tsunami I'd get this. But with the Samaritan knocking at my door I must abstain. Hope this is available by the first of the month.

To be honest, I was going to wait a week or two as well... but I have been eying this book for 2 years now (like I said, just couldn't pull the trigger on the normal price) and I would kick myself forever if I missed out.

Also, if I am a completist with anything now, it's with reference books. Well, except for the damn FRAMES thing. That will break my streak. :banghead

Sorry, Carl, my bad.

I'm so "up" on my sucky SW books, the one I sold was Dressing a Galaxy with the fabric swatches.

And I've said it before and I'll say it again...

Star Wars sucks.

Ah, yes... that one. Yeah, it was $295. I was able to get mine through Checkout.com for $162. You did very well on the $500. :clap

I'm no longer inclined to disagree. :huh :(

Besides, even if I were how could I get angry against such emoticons? :wacky

Don't make me post boastful pics when I get mine and have you regretting passing on it. :wacky

I know. I'm trying to be much much pickier with my buying. I have the regular version already so thats playing into me holding off but this all the other stuff really adds to it.

If I didn't already have the regular I'd go for this. I'll be more than happy to drool over any pics you post though Irish.

I'd buy this if the replicas were actual size. I can't get past the idea of buying scaled replicas of SFX props.

I picked it up. The price was too good to pass up. These little quirky Star Wars releases tend to be worth the most decades down the line (like the Star Wars story book with the pic of Anthony Daniel's bare hand exposed in Obi Wan's home on Tatooine - sold mine in a pinch for $200 during the 90's to help pay for car repairs). With the extras, it'll likely score my daughter a very respectable resale price at my estate sale AFTER I'm dead so I'm not too worried. It was the additional book about the toys that clinched it. The extras are just icing on the cake! So it's mine to enjoy until that day comes.

I ordered it too. I've always wanted this book, even more than 'Dressing a Galaxy', which I already own. I didn't want to spend the nearly $400 for it though. So, thanks for the info!
