I picked it up. The price was too good to pass up. These little quirky Star Wars releases tend to be worth the most decades down the line (like the Star Wars story book with the pic of Anthony Daniel's bare hand exposed in Obi Wan's home on Tatooine - sold mine in a pinch for $200 during the 90's to help pay for car repairs). With the extras, it'll likely score my daughter a very respectable resale price at my estate sale AFTER I'm dead so I'm not too worried. It was the additional book about the toys that clinched it. The extras are just icing on the cake! So it's mine to enjoy until that day comes.

I ordered it too. I've always wanted this book, even more than 'Dressing a Galaxy', which I already own. I didn't want to spend the nearly $400 for it though. So, thanks for the info!

Awesome. Glad to see some fellow Freaks taking advantage of this deal as well! :duff

I've got the regular version. But last summer, someone on Ebay sold their gatefold cover for $11. So I have it in that. Would LIKE the DVD if I could get it somewhere..

You can also get 4% cashback if you go through live.com. Not much, but money is money.

Mine says backorder, hopefully these will come through --- for more than just Carl. :emperor

:D

For the record, mine also says "Backorder" but Deep Discount is one of those places that doesn't charge until your item is about ship, so we'll see.

Ah good, so there is some hope. I just feared that sitting on this deal I might have missed a good thing.

:banana

Yeah, mine too: says processing now! They only charge $16 something for shipping to Europe for this item, and since it is a book, I shouldn't have to pay tax on it. Likely a handling fee of $13... .
I recently ordered a wetsuit for a 12" from Triad Toys. They charged me about $25 for shipping... for the same service I guess, but a much smaller and lighter item! Sometimes, I don't understand this world.

On top of that: wetsuit $19, shipping $25! Gosh, I hate to pay high shipping fees, but when the shipping costs exceeds the actual price of the item... In the end, that wetsuit has cost me $45 and that's the way I see it. Sorry for going off topic... .
Can't wait to receive this friggin' book!!! A truly awesome deal on a book I'd otherwise would have never bought. Thanks again for posting, Irish!

Just got my shipping notice! :D But, it could take 10-20 days for delivery.:monkey2

Somehow odd, that people still get excited about receiving BOOKS in the digital era...! This is the forth book I ordered within the last 2 months. Books will never die!

I can't wait for this! I have always wanted it, esp after attending the panel at SDCC 06. The Speeder is too cool. :monkey5
