I am really not a fan of the whole way they do Hotels.
We put in twice for hotels and both emails we got sent put us further away around mission valley.

I went onto the comic con hotels site and booked the Courtyard downtown ( why didn't they put me there in the first place?) and what's with giving prices without tax included?
I didn't see that at first and thought I was paying $206 a night but that turned into $230 when I made my first night stay.

Anyway I got my confirmation email from Travel planners this morning saying my payment had been sent for my reservation which is good.
I guess I will go cancel by backup hotel now.

me = driving down on Wednesday

Gonna hit the hotel around 3 with my oldest daughter. Thursday night my youngest and her mom are going to Greyhound it from Long Beach to SD so we don't have to drive two vehicles back nor pay an extra $35 a night at the Hilton for Valet.

Just booked a roundtrip flight, and passed on the ride back with my buddy. I'm old and I need my rest. I won't be there until Saturday morning, but I'm not heading back out until late Monday morning. Hopefully, I can meet up with some freaks and have dinner/party Saturday night...

Aside from the Freaks party and one other, that's what I did last year - and it ended up being my best year yet.

Last year we just text each other to go eat. Missed a few invitations as I made prior plans but this year I am not making any so that I can meet up when possible.

I want to try and meet up with a few more folks than I have in the past but I usually just have success running into folks at places. We all end up eating at most of the same places.
