this was my last SDCC...i don't do crowds all that well and this one was way more populated than the last time i went in 07

The part in bold is crazy talk IMO. 2007 was the last year before they limited passes and the place was a fire marshal's nightmare. Since then the crowds have been nowhere near as bad.

Also, it was nice meeting you Mike.... oh wait :pfft:

Thanks for all the advice from everyone. It was a very successful trip. Planned well and we got to see all of the panels and booths we wanted and got to meet some great people. It was cool, hanging out with Bam all day Sunday!

hmmm...maybe it's just that i am fatter and take up more space than i did in 07.

also, juggling a family vacation with SDCC is probably the hardest thing i have ever done

I was there Friday and it was surprising how easy it was to move through around. I cant remember the last time it was like that.

My first time at the Comicon and in Cali for that matter. I had a hell of a time and met some great new people as well as some old friends as well. Good times were had. Im loading my flickr up with photos as we speak. Once its all finished I'll post the link.
I just took random photos of everything I could.

For my first Comic Con I have to say I cant wait to attend it again. I had the time of my life. I was an awesome weekend seeing all the booths a few panels and meeting the Freaks at the after party. I'm already looking forward to coming back out for next year. :rock

for the most part, its not hard to move on either end of the floor room. The worst place is right in the middle, where mattel, Hasbro, and LEGO are gunking up the floor with their exclusives.

I usually either still at the sellers booths, or go out to the lobby, to walk down to Artist Alley.

I get my exclusives out of the way wed or thursday, just so I can avoid that area

Did anyone get an extra Mighty Muggs Avenger set they would be willing to sell?
If so please PM me

Apparently there will be some WB Fringe bags and a very select few will be alternate world themed.

Not sure how many of these there were but I am still unable to find a pic online, so here is the side by side comparison:

The regular version my sister was able to get for me but the "Walternate" edition I had to bribe a stranger to give up. I saw a total of four of them at the convention including mine, and I looked cosely at all of the Fringe bags that passed near me.

I only ever saw 1 and it was at a distance. I was begining to think it was just a rumor that the alternate ones even existed. I wonder how many there actually ended up being. Cool idea, although frustrating for fans wanting one.

Well another SDCC is done...and honestly, I'm glad. Probably the worst overall SDCC ever. Weak Panels, no major announcement, no big film, exclusives where ok, over crowed halls, outside of Sideshow (for me) nothing real excited (but I do like that Vader holiday bust)...
SDCC 2011...D/D+

However, it was cool meeting up at SSF dinner and being very fortunate to win a SS 12" IG-88..It was nice seeing my ol buddy OT Freak and meeting Darth Waller, Commtech and Short Round. Too bad I couldn't make the after party...I also did met Pitu, talking with artist Mark Brooks (my man PITU can talk)...

yea. I bet that NECA line was killer

no, but having to get in line 6 hours before the big bang theory panel just to assure i get in is a total waste of time. here we are in one of the most beautiful cities in the US and i am spending all day standing in a line with 10,000 people trying to get into a hall that holds 4,000

it just isn't my thing these days

the best part of my vacation was bailing on the con saturday and hitting the beach

oh yea. What happened to coming to Craigfest '11 ?

we flew out sunday morning, so saturday night we had a nice family dinner, walked around the seaport village area and headed back to the hotel for a few drinks and the joy of packing. i just didn't feel right bailing on the fam on our last night there
