I don't think employees from Hot Toys are there. I believe Motuxmen advised that Sideshow displays the figures that HT provides to them. I could be wrong though.
Yes, that is correct. Only said hottoys cause I thought it would be simpler. Sideshow hasn't ever (as far as I remember) revealed any new Hottoys figures outside of preview night at sdcc.

Hey Motux, do you think the HT Giant man you mentioned will show up at the con next weekend?

Yep. The info I got was all geared toward ani-con and game convention Hong Kong, which is next weekend. The info I got said some of those items would be at both shows if they got additional prototypes done in time. But it looks like not all made it so they subbed in extra SS figures and we have to wait till next weekend. And I heard again today that those five Rogue one figures and giant man (and MAYBE spider-man, thoug this is the first time that name came up) will be on display at next weekends con.

I kinda wanted to see a Weapon X wolverine from X-men Apocalypse since they had his license.

They have not announced an xmen Apocolypse license yet. Having just the actor doesn't mean they can make items from the film. It requires marvel, fox, and each actor.

Unless anything else is revealed, I'm gonna have to say my top 3 from this show are:

1) Blitzway Ghostbusters
2) Wolverine vs Hulk statue
3) WM Mk1

Beyond that, I was surprised none of the Suicide Squad really impressed me beyond Deadshot. Daredevil is awesome as well, but I think it's more-so the fact that they actually made a character from my favorite Netflix show. "Man in Black" is what really pulled me into the show and I remember his DD suit reveal against Kingpin was a big letdown for me. 1/4 Kylo and Luke were cool. Rey on her speeder was awesome as well. But man, those Ghostbusters really pressed my nostalgia button big time!

Blitz way has shown it to a select group or people but have reserved public display. They want to unveil it themselves.

Thanks so much for all your efforts in bring the Con to all of us who couldn't make it. Your coverage has been stellar!

Any new iron man figs names being thrown up for next weekend?
Cheers

Looking through the Toyark photos for more pix of final-version DC Harley: and there they are....

https://news.toyark.com/2016/07/21/sdcc-2016-dc-collectibles-dc-movie-dc-tv-214071

1. How did this go wrong?

2. Why did it go wrong?

3. Is she salvageable?

4. WHY should I have to salvage a $150 piece...?!

This last is the more poignant question of all. Except for one....

CAN THE FISHNET STOCKING SEAMS BE STRAIGHTENED BY HAND?!! Inquiring minds want to know.... damn it I will most likely have to take a look in person to be able to judge properly.

1/6 Giantman? Would that be a 1/1 Antman? :lol

Actually nearly twice as big. 12-14 feet tall. Around the height of the 1/1 hulkbuster they did at toy soul in 2014. It's why it has Zero chance to get made. Talking twice as tall as the 1/1 iron man or Cap or a batman. Huge.

Edit-by getting made I mean production wise. It's already made for the show. And from what I hear may be used after next weekend at Disney parks and a couple other events this year.

From my understanding this is the full airport battle scene being setup with all the figures to recreate that from the film, much in the same way they did the AoU ultron final battle scene with all the sentry and other figures. Which is why this could be the debut of Spider-Man. But my friend said that even in house they are not saying Spider-Man but that it has slipped once or twice. So it by no means is for sure that he will make a debut there. It's just a possibility.

As for punisher...I have heard they are working on the prototype as some have seen it. But, I have no idea if he will be at the show, or not. The response to DD was about like hot toys expected. A passionate group of fans, but a smaller group then the stars of the films. There will always be a drop off in interest after the "headliners" (like Cap in his films, or Ant-man in his, or DD in his show) which means if the amount of interest in the stars is lower, the interest in the secondary players usually is as well. However, this was expected. So it's not a bad sign or anything. Just doesn't look like it's going to be a runaway hit is all. (For figure sales) I expect them to keep the production numbers lower on those figures. And so long as they do decent, and marvel continues to push the merch as they are now, helping to keep interest up and licensing cost lower the line should do well.

Jesus. That thing's gonna be insane! :lol

Harley will be a 1st qrt 2017 release. Fake batman will be 4th qrt this year(Novemberish). The currency conversion is misleading. At the event both are priced at 28k yen, or like 260 usd. But when up at SSC they should both be 220-230usd range.

The more I see that Harley head sculpt, the more I love it. Just wishful thinking we could get a second head with a more toned down expression, like a small smirk would be great. AND eyes that don't stare to the side.
