Yes it's real. It's from Thor 3 at display at Sdcc. It's clearly made just for display/con...as hulk is entirely CG so you don't really need practical armor for a cg character. But it's still what it will look like on screen

With as scary good as they are getting with HSs, I think this one is a bit of a miss.

completely agree. theres no "wow" factor to it. just dont say it in the star wars thread, you cant tell those people anything.

Hahaha, I totally agree with everything you said. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and I don't understand either why criticism isn't allowed over there.

The hairline is off, eyes are all wrong, nose is different, mouth is different and just the skin tone. This is so far off I don't understand how anyone could look at this side by side an actual picture and say this looks great.

Show me one better. That's the crux of the issue for me. If it is the best 1/6 scale head on the planet..(of this person/character)... .perfect or not, I have a hard time bitching about it.

Thrown in that Mark has an every changing look and in every photo he has a different look..the sculpt is a good approximation.

In some angles his nose has a definative crook. But not obvious in all. His eye area is puff, or sunken. His weight fluxes. And when you have an actor in a film will clout like Hammil and when your owner (Howard) is a fan, the sculptor often cleans up any issues or try's to make the sculpt flattering. Not like Old Mark Hammil the actor, but like Wise older Jedi Luke. Yes it's the same person, but I'm sure you get what I mean.

As for skin tone..look at the many pics of Mark. The skin tone matches pretty well.

I agree it's an idealized sculpt of Mark. He looked really weathered and grizzled in the movie which totally made sense. That just doesn't translate to the sculpt in my opinion.
