True Scar...it might be a better solution at that...I'll have a look around next time I'm at Lowes.

Really ? Do you have a link for it still or any idea how much ? if it was enough I might try one more..I need t ofeed my Dinosauria habit after all..lol

Lowes is deifnitely a place to start. I'd probably look online for a piece more precise to what you'd conceive as a good accent.

Shipping is awful on big clear resin pieces though..really if I had the know-how I would just use that clear resin and muddy it up ( the resin used in the piece already is muddy brown somehow ) and then insert my logs and rock into it while leaving a place to set the piece itself down into it. I'm certain it's possible but I just don't know how...maybe it's time I start reading up eh ?

That sounds like an ambitious project. If you do it be sure to keep us informed. It sounds awesome.

I will, be certain..lol I'll prob asking for help if I do that.. ;)

It will be after I get the piece though and draw up some plans..it may not have to be too bad. I've used clear finger nail polish as water puddles before..no clue how much it take to expand the base out like I want..or how to color it with a light brown tinge. Maybe after getting it I will able to see how they did it.

Surely. For me, I'm pouring enough money into the dio itself, so I'm going to be content with that. :lol

So anyone want to lay bets on a release date for this guy ? ;)

I'm sticking with mid-Feb myself... :D

The EX for this one is now back on 2nd chance offer. Doesn't seem to matter how low these Dinosauria ES sizes are, they always seem to come up for a second bite - even a popular piece like the T.Rex. I can only assume SS have a very small (and indecisive!) customer base for them.

Most people who are placing Dinosauria orders are the following:

1.) Collectors of numerous lines who are already spread thin collecting numerous movie and comic based statues and figures to the point where they need to make a decision which order to keep and which to cancel - if it's a lifelong Marvel collector who decides he enjoys dinos, you know if he has to make a choice what that choice will be.

2.) Academics and sole dinosaur enthusiasts and collectors who have to decide between a longer grocery list that week or the latest Dinosauria statue. They want the statue but perhaps can't afford it.

3.) People with the spare coin who collect primarily dinosaur statues, as well as possibly a few choice items from a few other lines. Dinos are their primary interest and they can afford to put the money into Dinosauria.

Thankfully I can afford to be shelling out the money. The only thing I'm starting to worry about is space... I'm all up for some busts (legendary scale), maybe even make some in the fashion of mounted plaques. There's a space-saver that keeps the line going. :D

My concern is that I don't know if I'll be able to afford it even with the coupon and then I've wasted it.
