Incase anyone here lives in LA and isn't aware, The aero will be showing Aliens and the Abyss in 70mm and James Cameron will be there.

Aliens is one of my all time favorite films. I can't wait!

Anyone have good questions they would like me to ask while there?

Cooool. Just ask the man to kindly get back to making films on a more frequent basis! And maybe for him to go back and make another Terminator film and show these pretenders how its done!

Ask him to write another script and directed a more detail story of John Connors. Ask him why have the talent in Hollywood plummeted down for the last 20 years. The only EPIC movies series we had was The Lord of the Rings Series. Are today movie audiences really dumb that they pass up great thought invoking movies for fart jokes, lewd language movies?

ask him if he knows when the tea trolley will be coming round.

also ask him how Sarah Connor is in Bed, and did he mind Michael Biehn fondling her breasts :D

So the screening was AMAZING. First of what an incredible print of aliens, it was really beautiful and to be able to see it on a big screen finally as a real treat! (I'm 26 so was a bit young when it was first released)

I did not stick around for the abyss but JC did do QA between films. He spoke at lenght about avatar and the processes that he's created for it as well as his opinions on 3D and it's potential to become a mainstream application.

Avatar will have it's first trailer debuted with Transformers 2.

I was a bit bummed because he stuck around for a really long time for pictures and autographs but part of me really didn't want to come across as another "fan boy" so I omitted getting either. I did shake his hand though and he seemed like a very nice man. Not at all what I expected.

Jenette Goldstein was there as well. Got to introduce myself to her too. Very nice woman!

All in all it was easily one of the top screenings that I've attended.

Sounds like you had an extraordinary time. I'm very envious, and wish I had been able to attend as well. We need to start a permathread about events such as this. I would have happily driven down from Las Vegas for this screening!

I actually found out about this event after it was sold out but fortunately I knew someone who was able to set aside a couple tickets for me.

I will absolutely pass info on these sort of things along as I hear about them in the future!
