Got there 6:30 and they were still setting up. He had one person building the Detolfs. I didn't know if I should jump in. Serang was a great host though; graciously and profusely apologetic for the delay. I stayed a couple of minutes and left as people started trickling in; didn't want to be an obstruction to the construction. He had his newest Admiral Yi Sun-Shin, Van Gogh, and a couple of military dioramas setup at the time. This stuff is always 100 times better in person. Needless to say, I'll be back.

I took the day off from work (I work second shift) to attend the show today. And right before I was set to go, I almost cut off my thumb when I tried to push open a window and it gave in. Needless to say I spent my day getting stitched at the ER.

It was a bummer but at least I'll be able to make it on Saturday. Can't wait to see Van Gogh and Hendrix in person. The pictures look incredible.

Just finished display job.
There are so many tackles, really really tough day to me.
I was almost 'mad man', but many good friends visit here, they gave me lot of power and kindly comments also warm heart.
Thank you guys who visit today.
You are the man!
See you again or soon!

Hi guys! Just posted this video of my experience from last night's Serang Kim Solo Exhibition. I'll be posting more this afternoon, so if you want to see more, please check out my channel or I'll simply post here if you guys don't mind. Even though Serang was not ready for the show due to the displays not arriving in time, it was a treat to watch him set up and prepare. To me this was even more interesting than seeing an already set up show as we got to see the artist perform his magic and explain what he was doing along the way. A really great "behind the scenes" type opportunity which I hope to share a bit in my vids! Enjoy!

Very Cool!
Thanks for the pics guys.
And grats on picking up a serang piece Emarae!!!
Always enjoy your videos.

Man, I wish I could have seen this in person.

Every piece is stunning, but that Van Gogh just blows my mind. I look forward to the day that Serang creates a piece that strikes a true chord with me, so I can finally add some of his work to my collection. :bow

Rem, glad you enjoyed the vids! Just glad to share some of my enjoyment with everyone and it's great to give Serang more exposure and for others to see more about the artist behind the amazing work! I brought the few figures that own to have them signed. My Beatles are still WIP pieces as I couldn't afford a full set. He didn't have anything for sale at the show.

Serang's Beatles and Hendrix struck a chord with me, so I had to have those. I never thought I would care much for his Van Gogh, but it's just gorgeous in person and now I can't get it off of my mind! I would just love to own that piece now too! He discussed as future figures possibly another Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Bob Marley, & Freddie Mercury.

Here's yet another vid where Serang discusses a bit from his past with J.C. Hong who is now with Hot Toys and his history with getting into 1/6 scale figures.

The likeness on the Jimmy Page face looks a whole lot more accurate in person. Hair is held by magnets and he will issue more expressive face and hair sculpts.
