supposed to be, sure, but that can be said for any profession like cops, preachers, teachers, etc. I take that "supposed to be" with a grain of salt because I think most people on this planet are selfish, greedy, ignorant and stupid. Most people react with emotion before thinking. It's just the way we were designed unfortunately, but I try to keep myself away from people like that because it's those kind of ppl that can/do make the world a lame place to live.

There may be few laws that I would vote on, but I would never vote for any person specifically in poltics because I just don't trust any of them. If I knew them personally, then maybe, but anyways..........

We actually weren't designed that way, but it does seem to have proven too much to ask of most people to act on reason and not emotion. Modern politics reflects that. They appeal to the emotion of voters, and not their minds because for the most part, if people were using their minds to make these decisions, most politicians would not get elected.

Then again, people would have to have minds that functioned properly in the first place. Given the amount of weight this culture gives to 'emotional IQ', that's pretty much a lost cause. Or a losing cause. I don't think it's lost entirely.

Yet.
