Looks a little like this:
Yes, it's close. The mouth is slightly different.

To me it looks more like this:

I mean, I cancelled my Inart Superman because I do think it turned out pretty bad in a lot of areas. For some reason I don't feel the need to let everyone know this on that thread constantly, though.

Maybe I'm missing out on some fun and I should be going to other threads of figures I don't like and joking about them all the time...
Inart superman did suck absolute ass tho so your right about that 😂

Hello.
This is James Park from JND Studio.

First of all, we apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers.

This recall started with head attachments and costume fit adjustments,
However, after considering your reactions and points, we have made the following changes.

1. a complete remake of the costume
- Many of you have pointed this out, so we've taken it on board and will be completely redesigning the costume.

2. Hairstyling adjustments
- We'll be reworking the hairstyling as closely as possible to the prototype standard to reflect the hair length, evenness of the hair curls, hair length, and hair color.

3. Improve the magnetic moving eyeballs
- Changed the iris size to the same as the prototype and made the eye gimmick more movable.

4. Internal package design changes
- We will redesign and replace the inner package with a head-coupled type, and replace the broken artbox and carton box (as a whole).
- In this case, we will exclude the head-mounted case, which has a lot of breakage. (You can include it if you wish.)

5. Ensure the fit is as flattering as possible
- We'll make a new production run of the costume, release a sample of the costume, and package it as close to the same fit as possible based on that release.

6. premium shipping service
- We will not use a regular courier service, but a face-to-face delivery service to ensure that the fit and other inspected products are delivered in a way that does not cause any issues between deliveries. (We will exclude some areas between islands and mountains, but we will take care of this part so that everyone can receive it fairly.)

7. Shipping time
- For garments, we have to go through the steps of pattern revision, sample making, and revision,
It is not something that can be done within a month or two, so the delivery will be within the second quarter of the original reservation time, taking into account the above tasks.
We will aim to deliver within the second quarter of the original reservation.
- If the results are not satisfactory, we will prioritize quality and share the interim status.

We'll share reviews from those who received it first,
I was relieved to see that people were relieved and excited about the issues they were having,
We have not taken this issue lightly, not once, not even once, since we started receiving complaints from customers late in the evening.
Yesterday, our priority was to alleviate this inconvenience,
and we wanted to address that with a recall this morning.

However, as things evolved, I realized that if we didn't address this issue fundamentally
We had a long internal discussion and came to the decision above.

I am very afraid of what this decision will mean for us,
this is a promise I've made to all of you,
and it has a huge impact on the trust between us and you, and on our business going forward, so let's make it work.

There is one thing I would like to ask you.
We are a company that needs to continue to build new projects alongside mass production.
We'll use this as a learning experience, and we'll be even more meticulous in everything we do.

So I hope you'll cut us some slack so we can do our job.
I think the consequences of that are something we'll have to live with.

If we do our best and finish this job well,
JND Studio will be able to regain the trust of those who have been disappointed this time.

Once again, we apologize to all of our collectors for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Thank you for reading this long post.

-James Park

So they shipped out a small portion, going to improve things and delay the rest of the release for it? Or did they ship out all of the initial orders already?

Sounds good though if they’re willing to go back to improve things further.

We provide a service that delivers directly to your face

Sounds kinky. Now that's some hardcore JNDizing!

Props to them though. That's some serious rework if they're really doing that and what I'm assuming a substantial loss of profit. I hope they succeed with this. Some companies that are put on a pedestal here would just give a it is what it is answer. Sheesh.

I did notice the magnetic eyes weren't working smoothly on one of the videos above. Maybe it's the reason inart abandoned the idea as they don't have the capacity to qc with the numbers they produce.

This says a lot of them. They’ve never done this in any offering so obviously they want to continue the little faith they had to keep those who ordered this to rave and continue supporting their 1/6 line. This could have killed their chances but if done correctly, this could keep momentum and restore faith in future offerings. Excited to see what they do with it. I would be happy with what was put out but improved is a welcome offering!

Good on JND :clap Hopefully all the revisions end up being for the better as they and I'm sure everyone who ordered are expecting. That's a lot of work they're giving themselves. New costume, new hair work, new eyes and new packaging. Given that the hair work requires actual punching into the heads, I would imagine that would mean they also have to reproduce ALL the headsculpts as well :thud:

Not really talking about "wish list" stuff, but I wonder what changes they'll be making to the costume exactly that collectors have really fussed about? From what I've seen here, my thoughts would be:
  • Sleeve length of the shirt
  • Adding suspenders to the pants
  • Adjusting the height of the lapels
Aside from those things, I think my "wish list" item for the costume would be to just add the stitching to the lapels. I'm sure there's more that is not accurate to the costume that more dialed in folks could point out, but I think the above would satisfy me if I were getting this set.

This is cool news. Personally i thought the release they had was fine, but disappointed that the hair was so damn green and thick. Now at least hopeful they will add some blonde into it.

Don't think they are completely redoing everything. Costume they are probably gonna re-make the purple overcoat. Most of the praise was on the shirt and vest, so those will stay intact. Guessing alot of the heads not even complete at the moment, so they can just implement the new hair on those. Redesigning the box is probably just a different way to cut the styrofoam and eliminate the glass / clear plastic case they keep the head in.

Now i don't have to undo the buttons, tie, and go through that redressing. Fixing the eyes is a good thing. Didn't seem to work that well on all the videos from bloggers and JND. Hope for the best, cause likely it won't be worse. Happy.

My wish list is if they could also revise the black paint around the eyes. They probably won't but just a wish.
