The head is attached to the body and is one piece.

The only loose parts:

3 horns that attach to the base.
2 left forearms for the EX (1 for the regular).
1 right hand holding the lightsaber with light feature.

Also, an included AC cord to plug into the back of the base.
The lightsaber turns on via a clicking push button type located at the back of the base.
