Well, just an update. I coaxed Sideshow into sending me ANOTHER lightsaber hand. I sent them multiple pictures of the one that fit correctly and they're going to do their best to find a WORKING one that fits better. I told them that if they go to the trouble to do that, that as long as it works and fits a little better I'll say, "Good enough."

I am convinced that the first replacement could never have fit any Shaak Ti. The angle was just impossible.

I sent them multiple pictures of the one that fit correctly and they're going to do their best to find a WORKING one that fits better. I told them that if they go to the trouble to do that, that as long as it works and fits a little better I'll say, "Good enough."

Well, I got my second Shaak Ti replacement hand and it's also not a great fit. I give up. I do love the statue.

I emailed them and I told them that as long as they don't demand that I smash any of the parts, I'll drop the issue and make do with what I have.

I love the statue. But I hate all of the trouble I've had trying to get a working lightsaber. They really should have had me ship the whole thing back from the beginning. I guess I'll just have to order a cloak from myc soon and drape it over that wrist!

Sorry to hear that, I hope that maybe eventually you'll find some way to get it working between the two sabers!

I've had issues with my saber as well. It seems to light up but I need to press the on/off button several times to get it to work. Might be some bad wiring?

That sucks. They really need to find a way to isolate the lightsabers so that they're in the hand, but not a part of it. That would also allow us to switch them around from statue to statue.

OR they need to figure out that the only way to really fix these things is to ship the whole thing back and have it fixed and returned.

Be careful when doing that to avoid chipping. Start with a fine grit sandpaper.
