I love Newman's work but I wish they would have let him sculpt something of his own design and not somehing taken from a very uninspired comic cover.

BB

What is uninspired about breaking the mold a bit and actually depicting a female superhero like a normal woman? That's a down right radical notion for some comicbook artists.

Fanboys get their way with over-the-top sexy 95% of the time at Sideshow. Let us have our pants this once! :eowyn

I've never been a big She-Hulk fan, but I must admit this PF turned out great. Even with the pants, you can tell she's got a great ass. :yess:

Not to fan any flames but comic book guys are depicted very unrealistically too and you don't hear many men complaining. I mean, I wouldn't be caught dead in any of their skin tight outfits in the real world but I get that it's a comic book.:)

If you think this product wont fit in your collection,I personally think you should be killed.

Unless your collection is 12" "Museum Pose" statues.

I would prefer her regular outfit but the pants dont bother me that much. Always a possibility to customize her. :yess:

And I see BB hasnt commented back on my post. Waiting. :impatient:

Well, Super Heroines AREN'T normal. That's why they ARE Super Heroines. Normal people, and people who look "normal" aren't Super Heroes. That said, I think she looks like a healthy, fairly fit woman. I think she could be a bit more muscular though, like a Ms. Fitness woman, but NOT a female body builder. I think a lot of the disappointment lies with the lack of dynamicism of this pose. Also, after She Hulk was depicted in civvies for the Adam Hughes piece, it would have been a lot better if she was depicted in one of her regular super heroine uniforms this time, just for contrast. I like this piece though, and will be getting it. The skin of her face should be firmer, however. I believe it sags too much. She should be a bit more toned, to be more athletic.

But let's be honest, men are depicted in skin tight outfits with the bodies of greek gods. The guys have huge chests, large biceps, and small waists. On top of that, the guys are generally full clothed from head to toe.

While the women are also drawn with perfect bods, in many instances they are wearing more revealing clothing than the men. That's the norm because the comics industry is controlled by men, and as men we like to look at scantily clad women.

So while I would have loved to see She-Hulk without pants with a thong similar to the one we will get with the Ms. Marvel PF, I can live with She Hulk wearing pants. IMHO the statue still displays a strong, beautiful, determined warrior who just happens to be wearing pants.

This PF is insane. I have it on PO and there is no chance of cancellation with this one. This is so much more beautiful than the comiquette in my opinion.

There is a difference between depicting an ideal physique versus in your face sexual suggestiveness (like above above and beyond just being sexy). That is what I mean. I'm not some prude against sexy art. I just really like Sideshow changing it up.

And given that Tigra is one of my favourite characters, I have had to make peace with the fact she wears a skimpy bikini at all times. In fact Bowen has just put the preorder for her long-awaited statue and I am snapping that up too.

I think that is because "H+O+M+O" is usually considered a slur in English, whereas "homosexual" is really a technical definition.

Are you Dutch by chance? Because then I could understand the confusion.

Edit: Meaning Dutch uses "h+o+m+o" as non pejorative adjective, for those who do not speak Dutch.

WWwwwHhhaaatttteeeevvvveeeerrrr!!!!!

I live in the U.S. and both word can be used in a derogatory way. H+O+M+O could be an acronym somewhere for all I care. This word is nothing compared to some I've heard. People tend to use rape alot in game now a days. I wonder if this forum banned this one as well.
