Should hot toys offer a rewards program?

Just so you know:

1 point per dollar spent.

1 point is equal to 1 cent.

So it takes quite awhile to build up the reward points.
Actually, every 1 point is equal to 5 cents, so you only need 20 points, instead of a hundred.

If you buy from Sideshow you get the Toy Hunters exclusives.

You're right Dave but when I started this thread I didn't want to knock SS's point system but send a messege out to hot toys and maybe get something started. There are some of us that have figures that SS didn't offer like the TDK figures so hot toys could include some kinda code like Nintendo does.

I think they offfer 10% discount if order through their retail store in HK with minimum of 10 figures (in stock and pre-order).

You're right! Sorry about that. Seems like it's only a penny with the amount of things that I've bought and how little reward points I have. :lol

Strangely cos all the local dealers seem to gouge there isn't a hell of a lot of difference between buying in Australia and order direct from Sideshow - except I get the exclusive version and get it about a month earlier and collect rewards points.

In Europe besides the high shipping costs and customs taxes we also have to pay 19% VAT tax...

I've never ordered directly from Sideshow. Their prices always seem slightly above lower retailers. But these points go towards other purchases, like a discount? Nice.

Yes, the points are good to use on any figure as a discount.
That's the only reason I still order things from Sideshow.com.

I got 2 Hot Toys Goemon figures on pre-order and got
around 15% off by using all my other points. The only thing is;
each purchase you make, the points are not available to use for
45 days. I forget the conversion rate as well. Just go to the website
and read up on reward points, it should be clear then...:D
