who needs a house. just live under a bridge with your collectibles stored in the corner giving hand jobs for food. its all good ;)

but what happens when a big dude shows up saying he wants to take your collectibles? should you offer him more sexual favors? gahaah

Whichever way you go you wont need a credit card. Once you set up a disciplined practice of saving, or at least save a few grand, you definitely wont need a credit card, but you will be able to use a debit card for those emergencies. Keep a minimum in your debit card to allow for emergencies, and syphon a grand or two off into term deposits as they become available. All the while building a savings record all through the finance company (bank) of your choice, with which you intend to borrow from to get your housing loan.

worry about your education first.
You pay for a good education and your good education will buy you a house ...

Toys and statues are not an investment. Go to your bank and they will show you plenty of ways to save money until you are 29.
