Should the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy be rebooted?

Nope. Too late, and it wouldn?t even matter, because then you?d have a whole other group of fans that hate the rebooted series and be petitioning to have it rebooted again, and so on and so forth. Best to just keep moving forward and fans can pick and choose what they want to consider canon.

The sequels were a mixed bag. While I think a much better trilogy could have been done (I personally would have built it around a version of the Solo twins and cherry picked other EU characters like Mara Jade) Disney/Lucas made their choices. The are certainly not going to spend another 3/4 billion taking another crack at it. Conceivably they could produce an alternative trilogy using either animation or hyper-realistic CGI like that used in video game cutscenes, but that would basically be admitting they made mistakes. For better or worse, this is canon, so time to move on from the Skywalkers.

They can do what they want with the films; I'll be at home watching The Mandalorian.
