Well, I only looked at the base on my Vader this morning, as I had one previously and knew what it looked like.

I opened the full thing up this afternoon, and one of his tusks is broken off!:crying

I could overlook it if it were anywhere else on his body, but it's right there on his face. I also could glue it back on, but the broken piece isn't in the box.:banghead

It obviously looked like this from the factory, since the broken part isn't in the box. How in the hell did this get through QC?:banghead

Does SS allow multiple returns on the same item? I've never had to return a broken piece before, but this is ridiculous.:sick

This is the EXACT reason that I wish they allowed you to return a specific part (base, saber, etc) like most companies. Everything on my first Vader was perfect except for the base. Now the base on this one is OK, but Vader himself looks terrible. He even has a "white spot" on his mask.

Yeah, you can return it until it's right Elwood.

Cool man. Thanks for the info. I've just been snakebitten on this piece for some reason. It's frustrating since my first Vader was fine except for the base, and this one has a good base except for Vader. :(

NP. I had a SSW piece that came broke and was told that I could return it until it didn't come broke anymore. Yeah, with Vader is a piece that really must be perfect because of the impact this character has had on us fans/collectors.

I too had contacts with Jon on returns and yes I only have praise for him as well.

To side track a little, a friend of mine who also buys sideshow products have been facing problems with contacting sideshow. I've no idea why, he did everything he is supposed to do according to the steps given on the site. After which he approached me and told me about it. I then gave him instructions and still no reply. (I did ask him to check his spam/junk or even trash in case it was wrongly picked up as spam and also to check if his email that he sent out to sideshow matches that in his account. All seems ok)

So in the end I gave him Jennifer's email as i've dealt with her before and she's great as well (he's not a member here). Hopefully he will get his issues solved. Firstly he had wanted to return his regular Han Solo as he doesnt quite like it and his exclusive Vader which just arrives had problems with the lighting.

My friend got a surprise, a long distance call from Jennifer herself! Seems they did reply but there was something wrong with the email server and they didn't reach him. So the only way to contact was to call him up personally.

Great service there from the sideshow staff, would like to thank Jennifer especially too. Always nice to see a happy ending. :banana
