DEADITE ASH by 8-bit commando, on Flickr

hidden jitsu - MAGIC CUBE, SATURDAY TOYS and SOLDIER STORY all make some decent options. you might have to alter and/or dye some stuff, but overall it's painless. i'm sure there are loads more options, but that's what i tend to gravitate towards (and find) on evilbay :)

the sideshow hiking boots aren't screen accurate, but are pretty decent if you can find them. it's difficult finding late '70s/early '80s style, plain '1/6 hiking boots' these days :)

btw - we're going to start an AoD interest thread called 'PROJECT GROOVY' which is an AoD head sculpt, gauntlet and book of the dead. here's a teaser...

Thanks very much buddy and your AOD set looks stunning.
So would a type 19 body be good by the likes of hit figure?

As i will be modding sideshow ash and evil ash.

i'm not sure about that figure, but i can say this - be mindful of the hip width when looking for brown pants. chances are, if you're sourcing from eBay, the pants commonly found in bulk are very narrow to the point of modifying a body to make them fit at all. personally, i try to find a very narrow body to bulk out versus shave away if possible.

if you have pants already, then you're fine :)

i think the sideshow heads run a bit on the large side? dunno for sure. that might be a specific consideration when looking for a replacement body.

good luck man :)

Thanks for the info buddy , yeah the heads do look massive to be honest.
Well i got a full loose sideshow evil ash and a sideshow ash.
But the evil ash has strange trousers on him with black stitching on the legs.
I think the shirt is going to be the hardest to source , also i prefer to use shops like monkey depot and KG hobby other than Ebay.
As stuff on ebay takes 1 month to arrive.

Thanks again buddy jay

Splendid cheers buddy.:hi5:
I have tried looking for the treasure hunter shirt with no luck , but this looks spot on now all i need is the colour.
I use the Dylon stuff if they don't have the colour can you use watered down acrylic paint?

The pockets this one are more accurate than the TH one.

Dylon is the same as I use. Yes watered down acrylics using vacations of black, blue and white. I sand it lightly between coats to keep it flexible and finish with a light and patchy layer of gloss.

pete,

is the henry kano shirt fitted smaller than other soldier story shirts? i only ask because the kano figure looks to be slightly smaller in size. it would be great if this is the case!

I'm keeping him!!!!!!!

I have no idea tbh. It's luck of the draw really as the shirts can vary greatly in size.

You can always try taking them in at the sides to make them fit better.

I was inspired by a few others who did this custom so I built this solely out of spare parts.
