But wouldn't you guys rather share your wealth and give your Bill to someone less privaleged and more needy than yourselves, such as me :monkey2

As much as I'd love to help a fellow freak, the most I can share of this guy is my pics :wink1:

Just would like some general information on this guy. I know only one of them was bloody, but did all of them have the fake eagle eye? I don't understand how Rainman works in regards to releases. I hear he does DX for every release or something. Did the butcher knives also come standard? What was the original price and versions of this figure?

There were a few different ways to buy. DX didn't exist for this figure. He had a full set and parted out sets. Full set was figure put together, snow on boots, Rainman paint apps on head, and 1:1 scale eye. Parted outfit/head sets had no 1:1 eye, and no snow on the boots, plus paint work was done by "DF Studios."

Anyone getting the clothing/accessories (be it full set or parted sets) got all the knives, including the butcher knife.

Thanks man I really appreciate it. I usually don't drop by the customs board so all these names and methods are foreign to me.

Well all I said is I wouldn't be surprised if someone offered to someone.
Bill is becoming probably one of the hardest or if not the hardest custom to obtain.

There are still alternate ways you can get Bill at a reasonable price, by buying the unpainted HS or painted and bashing the hell out of it.

Money always talks. I am sure if someone posted "I will pay three grand for eagle eye, aka bill the butcher", someone would answer to it.

A member who just recently purchased one got one by being a little aggresive, and did so with a little tinasity. I only see one person looking in the want to buy section, and who knows how much they would pay for it. I just think all of this talk of how priceless it is giving it a false value like 5-7k. I am sure it could be had for less. It might take time, but people need money, die or whatever, and things change hands for a price.

Robbie always brings the killer pics. What kind of camera are you working with? I need to step mine up

I have a D7000 from Nikon.

There are lots of really good Canon's and other out there. I picked this one because Nikon has the best noise reduction when shooting in low light and I mainly use mine for shooting for the Theatre where its always dark.

I design for the Theatre as my job fyi.

Yeah I totally get that army what I was saying is to get hold of bill now you would have to drop some serious coin but mine ave managed to replica "hopefully anyway";) and once in hand I wouldn't sell it for 3 even if that bought me a full Rainman set because al be more than content with mine ... I do agree with you on what you said about bill rising in price if peeps keep hold of him it will go for crazy money because its like anything you want something you carnt have you want it more and more especially the caliber of eagle eye bill:)

.

Thanks bud. I have to do my homework. This little digie is compact and pocket friendly which is cool for vay-cay and all but can't produce pro quality pics. I'm far from pro, but I do want better equipment.

Us business minded NY boys can be a little forward and aggressive :wink1: I apologize if I put you off by it my man. Or anyone else for that matter :duff

The going rate for Bill or any other custom of his stature is going to differ from person to person. The factors that dictate the prices of these products are all based on the basic rules of consumer psychology, like all markets(the rules change slightly here because of the nature of what this product is. Plus it's a very nichey market with a small amount of potential buyers and even smaller amount of available product).

So like Mish said, a certain offer can motivate someone to sell something that's not technically "for sale". If you throw up a WTB for Bill saying "I got $2300 here for who ever is willing" someone may respond. Everyone's magic # will be different. Someone may let it fly for $2000 while someone else wouldn't even flinch at $4000. Major variables that will determine that would be your current economic situation and how important the piece is to you(among several other variables).

When someone says something is priceless, that indicates they're stable financially, and the piece is more precious to them then any realistic offer.
I can honestly say that $5000-$7000 isn't nearly enough to even make me think for a second about giving up Lucy. I really don't think there is a realistic offer that would make me part with Alex, Lucy, or Bill. ALL PRICELESS.

Looking forward to seeing how that pulls together my man! I'm sure it'll be bad ass bash. Your starting with the right corner stones.

BTW, if anyone is interested, I read that someone was going to sell their VM brawler Bill. It's not in the FS section so I don't know if it sold yet.

ANY MORE PICS OUT THERE?????

The value of any figure in here is not driven by what any one person in here thinks its value is worth.

Its value will always be determined by what someone is willing to sell a figure for and what someone is willing to pay.

That is my point!

I didn't say Bill's value was 5-7k. I said I wouldn't be surprised if someone offered that much to buy Bill.

How much are people paying for Rainman one-offs these days?

Not sure what that number is, but its gotta be pretty expensive.

I think the $5k range is probably a fair assumption. But I'm pretty sure there's more involved in him agreeing to do a one off than just being able to pay 5 stacks.

I hope you didn't think my post was aimed at you broski :) I'm just joining in on the convo. I only used the $5-$7k reference as an arbitrary number since it was being kicked around

No not at all I just wanted to clear my statement up. :hi5:

Bills doubled and some in price in the last year and in couple more years who knows it's the superb figure of the greatest actor and limited to 30 world only time will tell.....................
