Looking forward to this. I hope they wrap up the building mystery of the new SPECTRE though (or Quantam or Ellipsis or whatever they keep changing it to).

And is it just me, or would anyone else love to see Sean Connery come out of retirement and play a Bond villian?

I wouldn't mind it, although the blew the perfect idea for it with Goldeneye. A former 00 with a grudge. It would have been great to have Connery or any other previous Bond Villain play that role, the puns would have been fantastic.

Either way Sideshow wasted the Bond license by not providing us with a Craig Bond, all the others are only good for custom fodder. (yeah I said it)

Though it's great news for Bond fans, I just have to say that Daniel Craig has to be one of the fugliest men to ever play a sex symbol. :monkey4

I'd hit this.....

I'd throw peanuts at that......

What??? No way, Ween!!!

While I do enjoy Craig's tougher portrayal (especially in QoS), he's still the ugliest guy to play Bond. That's not even an opinion. Sure he's considered sexy, but that's due to a six-pack and charisma, not being handsome.

I still think he's improving in the role. CR showed he could do action, and QoS showed he had the swagger. Let's see what he'll deliver in the next one.

I like the lines in his face. :dunno No pretty boys, for me.

I just hope they can make a better movie than QOS. Casino Royale was amazing and remains one of my favorite movies, but QOS just lost me. A confusing story, horrible flash cutting cinematography, forgetable characters, and a theme song that sounded like someone throwing a piano down the stairs made this one of the few films ive ever been ubale to sit completly through.

Sean Connery, Tim Dalton, and Dan actually look like they could be the kind of guy to make fun of your to your face while they kill you with a heatlamp and bathtub.

Roger Moore looks like my grandfather came over to take me out for soup with the gift certificate I got him last christmas and Bronsan just seemed like he should have been in a porn version parody.

Bond is supposed to be sexy and handsome. A head turner. Craig just isn't that, at least to me. To each his own.

I just don't find him attractive at all, it has nothing to do with his facial lines. I don't find him handsome and I don't care for his body at all. I don't think any of the Bond men are pretty boys really. But if I would let any of them put their shoes under my bed, it would be Bronson.

Connery>Bronson>Dalton>Moore>Craig

I won't count the other ones because they're minor. :lol

Hey Ween...you mean Brosnan, right? :lol

Craig, may not be the most handsome Bond, but he's a pretty badass one. And while I am okay with that version of Bond...it's the quips and the gadgets that made Bond a 50 year series. And dammit, I want Q back. He doesn't have to be a comic character (obviously Cleese would not fit in these movies), just bring him back. I'm still pissed that whenever Craig got that tracking device planted in him it wasn't Q.

I was really hoping Connery would do the voice of the DB5 on Cars 2. Yeah, I knew it would never happen, but I was still hoping!

No problem! :):peace I was going to write a bunch of stuff, then I thought the better of it. As King would say, "Too many words."

As far as Craig goes, though...yeah, I'd hit that. :lol

I agree Craig is "badass", but James Bond should be the ultra man. There are plenty of rough and tough action heroes, but Bond's looks, style and wit are what keep him apart. DC has the brutality and humor, but doesn't quite have the swagger or magnetism of Connery, Moore, Dalton, Brosnan. He IS however a MUCH better actor than Lazenby.

If looks weren't important, they might as well have cast Jason Statham. He's badass and English too!

Daniel Craig lacks the smooth, charming qualities of some of the other Bonds IMO. Really, he's Jason Bourne with an English accent that wears a nice suit or tuxedo now and then. But I like bad-ass action movies, and these are those, so I could care less. Doesn't really feel like a James Bond movie when I watch them, though.

In all fairness George Lazenby was a model from Australia and got the part because he looked like James Bond. The actor Ian Fleming wanted was David Niven who finally played Bond in the 1967 Casino Royale.
Also in Lazenby's defense, like it or not On Her Majesty's Secret Service was a better movie than Craig's Casino Royale and Quantum of Solice.
Honestly, I think there haven't been any bad Bonds just bad Bond movies like Moonraker and A View To A Kill but that's just this OO7 fanatic's opinion.

I'll add Diamonds are Forever to the list of really bad movies. I agree OHMSS was a fantastic movie. It's been a long time since I've read the books, but I think that and From Russia with Love are probably the most faithful book to movie translations.

imo From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, and Casino Royale are the best Bond movies. I'm really tempted to put The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only in that category, but I'm not sure if its not just because I really enjoy the first and the second is one of the more realistic Bond movies.

You know, I like Diamonds Are Forever but that might just be because it's Sean Connery. I know a lot of hardcore fans consider that to be Connery's weakest Bond. I'll say Charles Gray was the worst Ernst Stavro Bloefeld.
I'll put Never Say Never Again above Diamonds Are Forever and maybe even the original Thunderball even though Connery was 52 when it came out in 1983.
Agent you are dead on when it comes to Goldfinger and From Russia With Love as the best Bond films and Casino Royale is up there but not better than OHMSS.
When it comes to pure spy films from For Your Eyes Only was awesome. It and OHMSS are 2 of the films that have no gadgets.
The Spy Who Loved Me is my favorite Roger Moore film. I thought it was great, from the ski chase off the side of a cliff to the rumble in the pyramids to Jaws and Barbara Bach. Nobody does it better!
