Re: 1/6 SSC Beetlejuice figure

I don't think it's that bad. The hair needs to be real. Otherwise it does look like Keaton.

The real problem with it is that Beetlejuice is a character that's all manic energy, and this has no energy about it. The expression on his face, he could be discussing the socio-economic ramifications of lowering the Capital Gains Tax Rate at a dinner soiree.

It's not a great scuklpt, but it's not terrible either, it's just so... lacking in personality.

I can kind of see Keaton in this image... it's there, but like others have said just the completely wrong expression.

Think he may have a second head? SSC likes doing multiple portrait's...

Definitely like it and you can see Keaton in the sculpt but like many have said the expression is a big no, no. You never really get what you want in this hobby do ya?

I'm swaying to picking him up and fingers crossed there is a second head sculpt. Also I thought he would have been top heavy with accessories.

With Sideshow you don't. I really don't trust their designers, or concept artists, or whoever it is that ultimately makes the decisions on what look they're going for on a figure or statue before the sculptors get to work. They just seem to make terrible decisions. This year we get the lousy choice for Beetlejuice's expression as well as Punisher's boots and gloves being stark white and looking silly next to the faded grayish skull emblem on his chest. That kind of stuff should never have gotten past the concept discussion phase.

Not just SSC my friend but other companies are at fault also, even the $2000 customs have faults. All in the eye of the beholder I guess.

I agree with this statement 100%. Not sure what kind of look they were going for with Punisher, but it's not a good one.
