This guys in desperate need of a repaint and some weathering. Threw out that terrible SS shirt and used a Toribox shirt. Used an MJ hat. Felt it was the closest thing to a TOD shaped fedora.

Just goes to show the HUGE size difference between the MJ and SS sculpts - that hat looks ridiculously tiny on the MJ and yet it appears to look just right on the SS sculpt! And that knock-off recast of the MJ sculpt makes the exact same mistake with the hat too!!

I just recieved and unboxed Sideshow Indy.

Don't have much time, but here are some thoughts after the unboxing.

The figure felt high quality! The sculpt looks good, biggest complain is the head is a tad too small.
I added DX05 fedora and Kato jacket, still lots of futzing and changes to do.
I like how it looks now, and I think it can look great.
I have not applied the dressing to the Kato jacket yet, lots of work to do...

but feels good! It better should... this guy is expensive with the add ons...

Still on the fence about this figure .... irritates me beyond belief that you need to replace basic parts of the figure like the fedora.

I still really like him...Not much time at the moment to make indy look really good with some customizing, but stock is alright for now. Look foward to getting scratchbuilders mine cart and buffer stop to display with him in the coming weeks. Should go great with indy.

Yeah, the head is small. I have a couple of other heads I've received and set them aside thinking "eh, a bit undersized" - this head is even smaller than those.

Even next to an average newer HT head, it's a little small and unfortunately (for me and I guess others) it's to the point where it doesn't quite work displayed with other older Indy figures such as Toht, Henry etc. This is the first SSC head to be this scale - even recent releases like Han and Luke Hoth were not close to this small.

It's certainly not a huge distraction (in reality, there's a pretty wide variation in 1/6 head sizes,) but it does feel like maybe it was a production error, though 1/6 heads have shrunk a bit in the last couple of years.

Got to hang out with DEATHASYLUM this weekend and he gave me some pointers on how to weather my figure. Thanks to him, I got the courage to weather my first one

Finally decided to put this SSC TOD head on my Indy German disguise outfit. I like it - shows the head fully and I do think (like the HT Indy) the hairpiece bumps the likeness up a bit. Other than that huge gap, the hair sculpt is pretty decent. Will post pics later.

Was browsing for good pics of the unhatted head in this thread and came upon these pics, and thought, "He the hat looks pretty good there." And then I realized it's your Indy that I have at this very moment. Haha.

I'm not looking to go all out in customization, but I wonder what I might be able to do with this if I already have Sideshow's first Indy figure from Raiders?
I wonder if the clothes and Jacket from the Raiders Sideshow figure would fit the TOD one? Somehow I doubt it with the skinny body on the original one, but I thought I'd ask any way.
