These shots have me...hopeful. (and I love your collection there, Raiders!)

Thanks JB for the kind words. If my pics make you hopeful, then yours once you have him will convince almost everyone that he's worth picking up. Especially if you shot him against outdoor scenery.

I can hardly ever convey with my camera what I see in hand, as I have no proper place to take photos.

It certainly wasn't working with the flash on, so I tried taking the photos while shining an LED on the face:

The most impressive angles are looking straight on and his left profile. There's really no fair comparison between this sculpt and the HT DX05, because the SS stomps all over it...

"If you want a vision of the present, imagine the Sideshow boot stamping on the HT face forever."

I've never paid much notice to the difference.

The HT seems inaccurate with regards to the tight pinch at the front of the ROTLA, while the SS looks more like the TOD.

Great example kuat, so you like him or really like him?

The fedoras varied alot from film to film. Mainly crown taper, placement (raiders turn) front pinch a nd brim 'swoop'.
Nearly all these elements were more exaggerated on the 'Raiders' fedora compared to the following films.

I don't like him.

I love him!

If you overlook the bag strap this is pretty much a perfect figure for me.

Okay, so the shirt may not be screen accurate, and his army belt doesn't have the metal cap at the end, but as it is the figure looks stunning.

I showed the sculpt to my dad and he immediately recognized him as Harrison Ford - he very rarely does that with any figures I show him. Even the ones generally accepted as being really good.

The machete is nice, and the detail of the three sections inside the gas mask bag was unexpected. As was the use of real laces in the Aldens.

Once again, taking a leap of faith with Sideshow has paid off.

But again, the photos above just don't him justice. Especially not with the flash on. I'll try to get something in daylight.

No, but just because you asked...

As I said, it's not a fair fight. It's a bit like Indy vs. the Cairo Swordsman. While the HT is waving its sword around, the SS pulls out a Smith & Wesson and does the only merciful thing.

Sculpt looks good but what is up with that neck!? It looks even weirder next to the HT one.

Probably because the HT has the shirt collar pulled up around it. And the head might not have been pushed right down, because it just pulled off very easily.

There's a rare occurrence here in the UK today: we have sunlight!

Probably too much sunlight. I've rarely taken figures outside to photograph.

And an angle and profile you can see Ford quite a bit. The large hat bell doesn't help. Head is also too small for that neck.

TOD is my favorite and would love to have just the stones, but I can't see paying $250. The HT one will do.

Did you have to work on the fedora to look like this? It looks so much better than other ones I've seen. If you did, share the secret :)

If it's mine you are reffering to, then it is the Hot toys fedora I have on him there.
Here is the last photo I took of him in day light.

can you make more pics of the Sideshow head with the HT hat? Thanks.
Does it fit well on his head?

I tried the DX fedora but don't think it fits quite well enough. I found it tends to ride high on one side or the other.

That's not bad..that's what I was hoping for :clap

What is with the welts on his neck

I'll take some more pics. later of him with the dx fedora. Kuat of Kuat is right, it does sit a little higher on the left side, but doesn't really bother me. I think it looks great on him. Not too fond of the Sideshow hat with the upgoing front brim, and wide band.
