I really didn't like the Jabba tongue mouth piece all that much in pics but it really was so much fun in-hand. I used that mouth piece for the first week or two.

Yes exactly. It’s really is effective and fun. Doesn’t do well in photos though - it becomes kind of cartoony.

Nope. Besides the Super Bowl loss, business went through a severe drought for several months and the timing just killed my ability to get Jabba and thoroughly enjoy him.

At this point I'm waiting to see if HT does anything remotely crazy for SDCC or the Asian-cons it prefers after that. I'm curious to see if they reveal anything that hints at the possibility that they might have their own Jabba on the slab.

Sometimes I completely forget about the existence of lava lamps. Takes me back to the 90s. Congrats on Jabba, looks like a badass set up.

Yeah, there's something about the tongue paint and sculpt that 100% nails the movie look. And it does look much better in hand than in pics - it's weird. I just loved it in hand.

Your Boushh looks cool - I'm redoing mine to stand next to my Jabba but I'm trying not to spend much time/effort on it because I think HT will do a Leia Boussh very shortly.

At this time the market has just been filled and it would be odd to release another Jabba... but who knows, weirder things have happened.
Though if Maul with speeder is over $400, a HT version of Jabba would not be cheaper than the SSC version. And second, I think that the statue/swap out way is the right way to go with this one. I would be scared if this giant was made of rubber though it might look good. At first at least.

Yes, sitting here looking at him even the mustard looks real. ...damn I love this monstrosity.
My Boushh is customized by Elvis(76 or 86...forgot the number). It’s as good as the old figure gets I think. But true, HT will eventually get to her and she will be better.

Mine's out for delivery today. Currently my most anticipated figure.

I pre-ordered the day after I created this thread monkey1), and back then the ETA was Q3 2018. But at least I got in before the £70 price increase.

Not quite my oldest outstanding pre-order though. That honour goes to the ever delayed SuperMad Hunter 'K' !

Speaking of Boussh did anyone get the exclusive for her blaster?! I really have been searching for one and cant find one. Dont wanna spend 300 for another fig just to get it and then have to buy the hot toys one they will eventually release.

I preordered this thing a little while after the preorders went up and was told the price that was also the price I paid when I picked Jabba up a couple of days ago. The price was 5100 danish crowns which is $771 usd and one of the reasons I was positively surprised and chose to preorder in the first place... but isn’t that price less than US retail? And since this stuff usually gets quite a bit more expensive in Europe I am wondering how this can be... what did other European collectors pay for this?

I ordered from CDUK when the list price was £680 with free delivery. After using reward points the total was £667.60. At the current exchange rate that's $849 delivered. Sounds like you got a very good price.

(At some point CDUK increased the price to £750 for new orders).

...maybe the dollar was lower when I ordered [emoji2368] ...that said, your price doesn’t seem too bad either.
My retailer get his stuff from somewhere else in Europe, maybe they were afraid of being stuck with it.

Yes you were very lucky my friend. I have a best friend, me mate that I uses to be walking with and jumping up and down and playing with that's basically slowly withering away from a chronic disease back in England. And I have to say being here in the states alot of times we are blessed because we dont pay all the tariffs and taxes to get this cool stuff like you and he do. I buy him **** over there but their dollar is 1.6 mine, and it's a juggle to buy it here and send it or buy it in England via the internet and have it sent. So I know the cost you guys indure, because I've paid it both there and here in California getting it to him gifting him things to take care of him. Crazy the amounts that you guys have to pay. That really I think makes yall more dedicated than we U.S. based collectors (<<gonna catch .****. for that) hahha
