I literally just took a brief break from editing the review to check the forum. It's coming along!
Get your *ss back to that editing. NOW.
No pressure though and whenever you're done is just fine.

Yep, got my 14 day notice as well! Here's hoping I have the funds on the card I used. I have a habit of not checking; as I don't want to get more depressed..so probably should do that.I got shipping notice for February 7th!
Man, if only Sideshow put that kind of effort into all their paint jobs.
A pleasant surprise, amongst other things.
My wife has basically zero interest in my collection.
Or, to put it another way, I have about as much interest in her shoe and/or purse collection.
[...]
While I absolutely love my shoes as I do fashion in general, I really have to look at purses with appreciation for the detail in many of them. While I might not use a purse, I have no problem going and shopping for them with anyone I date. So the short of it is, I try to find the things I can appreciate in what someone else has a passion for even if I don't partake in that myself.
I concur...I love design in all its forms, from industrial to fashion. As for my lady friend, besides being a casual fan (she can recognize major characters and has seen many of the films, can critique likenesses and costumes, but a lot of the minutiae we take for granted are largely unknown to her) -- she also appreciates them as design objects and loves costuming and fashion in general.
What I find surprising is that a mostly non-geek gets it on so many levels so quickly. A lot of women would be more dismissive of this hobby.
Perhaps she can be turned.
Back on-topic, Jabba was never on my purchase radar, but looking at this release, would a Rancor really be that hard to do?
Theres a guy offering a studio scale Rancor (from germany) that may work for you. He's on the rpf. I've considered it myself, but can't find the funds. Well worth what the seller is asking thoughView attachment 441446
Thats the only pic i could find, but they are fully finished.
Stock paint on the original Jabba looks really good in that Rancor pic. The Rancor is impressive but looks maybe scaled for 6" Black Series figures, still too small for 1/6, I think we did the math back when the first Jabba came out and a 1/6 Rancor would be something like 4 feet tall.
I agree, an impressive piece, but the scale is off. Also I believe that Jabba in the pic may have had a minor repaint, notice the pupils are thinner than the factory version.
My review of the new Jabba is now up: https://youtu.be/JSG98ndZVNQ
And here is the review of the old Jabba if anyone is interested: https://youtu.be/IrqwBXoj-Q8
