Yoda: "I failed the Jedi"

It was the humbling he received at the hands of Palpatine that in part produced the Yoda of the OT. No contradiction there.

You'll recall also Yoda sounded really upset and disturbed at the end of AOTC when Yoda said something about the clone wars beginning. I don't remember the exact line, but it was in response to something positive Obi-Wan said and Yoda countered it.

Master Yoda:
Victory? Victory you say? Master Obi-Wan, not victory.
The shroud of the Dark Side has fallen. Begun the Clone War has!

I find that for the most part, the PT maintained a pretty good continuity with the OT.

Yoda's that classic warrior mentor, like Mr. Miyagi (I know he's not necessarily classic), these guys are lethal and can kick ass and do if left with no option, but always try to avoid a fight if possible.

The sharpest sword is never drawn. :lecture

Production peek of Yoda is up, looks to be PT though. Kinda bummed.

SSC just showed the 1:6 Yoda in the production blog, and its also been revealed that its the ESB version . I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing Yoda and probably Cody , Hammerhead and Gammy at SDCC.

Head didn't look very ESB, it looked very prequelish.

In the news letter it said its being shown in honor of celebrating the ESB and what they have in production for ESB.

Yeah, I know. But it just doesn't look like ESB Yoda to me.

Edit: Though it does look like the head in the far back that is in focus for just a second looks more like it...could be a trick on the eye because of the changing focus, but perhaps interchangeable heads?

The head on the full body was definitely PT, but there was a clearly ESB head among those 4 or so heads on the table too. I'm really thinking multipack or something like that.

Coming along fantastically that's for sure.

I think its hard to make that distiction since its not painted and has no outfit on .

I just hope its as good or better than the Medicom version which is pretty darn good.

Yeah, I just amended my post saying one of the others looked that way. I'm thinking perhaps like Mace having both of his sabers making that one purchase all you need, perhaps interchangeable heads will do the same for Yoda. THAT would actually be kinda cool.

That would be nice , but I could see it as being a multipack as well.

You can't just do interchangable heads, his costume's are different in each trilogy. Sideshow will either do a 2 pack or split like Frodo and Sam that can be ordered as a set or separate or something, but I don't see them doing a 2 in one set where it needs a unique body to make the second figure, and they don't put out figures that require you to buy a second of it to make a full set like Hot Toys.

I wondered about that, too, but I like the way you think! A multipack would be a great way to make PT and OT people happy.

I'd love to see each version have a sitting item included, council chair for PT and log/Dagobah environment for OT.
