I canceled this before it shipped, but the recent photos got me interested again. I'm getting an exclusive from a boardmember.

Agreed, and a lot of people have been postings some awesome tips for mods. I don't usually mod my figures and this one is great as is, but I think I'll actually do some this time to make him look even better.

It doesn't hurt that they're easy mods, which are the ones that are in my capability.

any way ... a up date to the paint ... fixed the corners of the eyes .. mouth peice ...

hot water works perfect on the chest plain ... heat it up for 20 to 30 seconds and mold to desire ...

also ... the camera does take away a lot of the shine on the body ... little polish and i think its perfect ... i love that they did not piant the body ... would have been very hard to work with ...

Got him today... very cool figure. Joints were good... even the ankles seemed fine. I think the odd thing about them is the armor (mostlly on the legs) is so loose that it makes the figure feel like its loose too.

Almost seems like they designed the armor body with legs that were too thin. Maybe something Sideshow could revisit if they do any body revisions. A little more bulk would make a lot of difference.

I see that CSC has this in stock so that means that SS started shipping out to dealers. Once Alter Ego ships it to me then I'll have it within two days, so I hope that they get theirs by early next week.

I think i have changed my mind on this figure, i really want one now..and comparing the Marmit with SS makes sense but, Marmit is so rare to find i don't see the point and comparing with the prices they go for on Ebay.

Might as well add the following tip as well:

- Dry-brush the exclusive pistol with some gun-metal color to give it some weathering. It's basically unpainted plastic straight from the mold.

Yeah, this was one of the first things I threw paint on as I was fixing the helmet. I was like, what the heck? The stormtrooper's blaster is all painted up, why not the exclusive pistol?? Anyway, some quick weathering makes it a worthwhile accessory item.

I have no complaints about the helmet. I swear sometimes it looks 1:1!

I made the ankles stiffer by removing from the boots and popping them open, then applied some clear fingernail polish to both side and putting them back together. Worked like a charm!!

Just took some pics of mine. Boiled some water this evening and bent in the giant chest pieces. I plan to make a few more modifications this weekend. IMO, straight out of the box it's a 6.5 - 7 out of 10; all futzed up it's a 9. I also have to say that the exclusive blaster is a P.O.S. I'm using a more detailed MG-34 that I picked up on the cheap instead. I'll post a full review, with some more photos, on my site tomorrow evening.

No, because it will be polish brushing against polish. It a trick we used on the wore out knees on 3 3/4 GIJoes.

Just got mine and I have to agree that I love this figure! I did the heating up of the torso armor and it worked like a champ. Enjoy the quick pics. the last one is the sideshow stormtrooper with my old medicom stormtrooper kit figure.
