The King Alien is supposed to be bigger than the Queen in the region of 30 feet

The size is really disappointing. It look like a toy next to the other statues.

Judging by this video. It looks very sturdy! Which is great. The downside though if something snaps on the base well that's not good at all right?

Igo actually said that they were surprised by how well this sold, and that's why they're working on a Queen now. I have to say, the ES surprised me as well. I was pretty shocked they could sell that many considering the price point and subject matter.

Maybe it's the photography (although I don't think it is) - but that paint looks like it was applied with a 1" bristle brush . . . REALLY thick - hiding a lot of detail on the sculpture.
It also reminds me of the glaze you get on mugs / cups / plates etc.
I was thinking Sideshow had turned a QC corner on this - but I may have been too hopeful.
What do you guys think?
