Ripley and Newt for the EX

yeah dude that would be siiiiiiiick.

We want something like this:
Aliens_ripley15.jpg

but sadly we would get this:
Aliens+Ripley+1.jpg

It won't happen. Weaver won't grant her likeness rights. And the Power Loader diorama had a cross-eyed atrocity in her place. I had to send it back, well for that and other reasons.

Good luck though gang. This is off my radar. ;)

:lol
Could this cost $5000, I doubt it.
In reality I think we are looking at a $999 price point max.
The 1:1 Queen bust was $899 I think and thats much bigger then this.
Erm, just to clarify.. You mean the 1:4 Queen bust..

A 1:1 Queen bust would be 9 feet long. :lol

I don't see how this could cost 1000$...this is the same size as the 400$ one, but with a bunch of extra stuff..$700-$800 seems about right.

I'm not so sure this is 1/8th... it might actually be 1/6th. If it is 1/6... it's getting bought FOR SURE.

Look at how large the eggs are in relationship to the artist's hands. Keep in mind they are BEHIND the artist thus appearing smaller than they actually are. The head appears to be roughly 12-15 inches long also based on the hands. THis seems like it be more in keeping with a 1/6th scale...

Could this be a diorama in the Indy Map Room vein? Designed to coincide with a new HT Ripley Figure perhaps?

Wouldn't that be simply offing amazing!!!!

I have a feeling that we aren't going to hear about this piece until after the Alien Warrior statue (https://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97597&highlight=aliens) eventually goes up for PO.

I share most of the sentiment going around in the fact that I know I'm not going to be able to afford it. For me, however, this is the ultimate Alien collectible. The one I've been dreaming about since I was a kid. :(

A couple things I'd like to address:

1) The egg with Dallas is way too small to begin with. They are not 1/6, and were simply re-uses of the eggs Hot Toys made to hold their mini figure kits. 1/6 eggs should come up to mid-thigh or hip.

2) The Queen in this dio is the same scale as the previous Queen dio. Period. I've seen it in person. It's not 1/6.

3) The eggs in the new dio look like the ones that came with the GEO-Metric Aliens model kits which were 1/8. Sideshow may have even cast those eggs from the model kit eggs. However, they are wrong for this movie representation (as they were for the model kits). These eggs are the Resurrection versions.

It's been almost 3 years since they announced this ,I really don't think they will ever realease it ... :-(

starting to doubt they will release this too.. Has sideshow ever previewed something in a video like that and then not come through?
