I have no stress or anxiety over collecting, it's something fun to do to show off my favorite characters. I don't look close up and scrutinize every little detail of my statues though. Human error is inevitable, sometimes things slip through the cracks.

So would you have kept the peeling left foot knowing it would get worse over time? I understand you don’t do close ups but the difference in colors between the head and the body on my replacement is noticeable from the 3 feet qc distance they inspect the statues from.

I think what it means is that he doesnt look really closely, which I do too, but if the defects are noticeable from space like yours.. Yes you ask for a replacement

I don't really look at all the cracks and crevices. If his finger was broken or his toes were smashed then I'd send it back but I don't look for every little chip and knick or id go crazy.

I'll have to look at mine again for any peeling, as I stated when I got it the art box seemed to have moisture, it was flimsy and I worried the moisture might have gotten into the Styrofoam.

Contacted SS to get the tracking info for my Thor replacement portrait because I was supposed to get it yesterday. They said it is being processed and they are backed up. Which is totally fine and I understand it. It just makes me feel like they are waiting for one to be returned to send it to me haha. It's been almost a month since I first contacted them.

Is it really that far off from what people around here would want/expect?

They’re all EX’s and the Cap/IM/Hulk aren’t available anymore. Regular price on all would be what, like $1,800?

The way people go on about EX, resale value, etc here I would think those prices wouldn’t be surprising.

At $2400 + $200 shipping that's $650 each, I can see that for Hulk because that's how much he really did cost to begin with. But personally at double the cost of what cap and iron man originally were I wouldn't pay that much. Plus Thor is still available at least for the time being. Honestly eBay isn't even that bad, 3/4 of the statues there are selling for original cost or slightly below.

That's the buy it now price though, you can get it for plenty less if you bid. And look at the prices of the very few exclusives on eBay by themselves; pretty much the same prices.

With how much people talk about resale value around here, I wouldn't think anyone would have a problem with those prices.

I get that $2400 is a lot, but look at his pricing. I really don't think he is planning on getting that. It's just in case someone REALLY wants to make sure they get them/is willing to pay it. If he gets in between his starting price and buy it now, he'd be plenty happy.
