Love the looks of it, but I have to drawn the line somewhere, and that price is just too much. That and seeing the paint on the last few Sideshow releases, it seems like the prices are going up with the quality is just going down. I'd be worried about blowing $700 on this one and then seeing it not live up to the pictures a year from now.

Out of curiosity... What are the 'last few' pieces you've seen that show quality is going down?

Prime 1 delivers every piece with flawless CQ and prototype level paint, while Sideshow is known more as a hit-and-miss on those accounts.

Also want to add, Not bashing Sideshow, this is not based on personal experience, but rather what I've read in forums, FB etc. Personally, I have more than 30 Sideshow pieces, and only had 1 issue (which Sideshow CS worked out quickly).

There's been qc issues with Prime 1 pieces but they do offer replacements.

That is true to a point. But you do realise this spiderman 2099 is manufactured by sideshow right?

Prime designed it and is manufacturing it. Sideshow is only allowing Prime to use their Marvel 1/4 license and distributing it for them.

Sideshow Alex confirmed it on the other forum. A lot of anxiety about how the piece will turn out disappears when you know Sideshow is only shipping it.

I am also... Have had a few very small issues that SSC took care of and had one big one and SSC took it back without any problems.

I've had very few pieces arrive from Sideshow without some sort of issue. Yet they always handle it. However, sometime even the replacements need replacements.
