I believe the Lydia was $1,500.

Hopefully we get a 3rd party, I’m OK sacrificing some quality for a cheaper figure.
I'm hoping if this figure sells well and/or the sequel does well then some companies will tackle Beetlejuice, he has a LOT of cool alternative looks and I would love to collect some of the other characters like Lydia and Tom and Barbra [with their "monster" faces]

Is $280 doable?

$280 is a decent price for Sideshow these days but also gotta wonder what the quality dropoff will be like. Sort of surprised (and glad) this isn't a sideshow exclusive nor a limited/timed exclusive.

A doll with hair, simple outfit, basically no accessories... $280.

Hope that price guarantees some amount of QC and a package that doesn't 'squash' the hair.
That's a good point. Wonder if they will go the InArt/ HT Artisan route and do the canister packaging on this or cheapen out and use their standard slim box that they've used for 1/6 figures in the last couple of years since TOD Indy I believe.

I want to PO with SS but have some reward points that will be available in four days, hopefully it doesn’t sell out by then.

Have they ever done real hair before? And did they protect that?

probably not in scale, but I have one of these for Halloween season and it looks pretty good, would probably be a decent accessory to display alongside https://www.spirithalloween.com/product/beetlejuice-tombstone-decorations/223736.uts

I could be wrong since it's been so long, but I could've sworn a good handful of ppl were buying this in lieu of paying for the overpriced sideshow version back during the first release.

Whars the size?
The website seems like its not working well for me - ive had issues like that with Spirit Halloween before and I've wondered if its a UK thing?
At the very least I cant order from the site.
If anyone is kind enough to be willing to purchase this and send it to the UK i would be really grateful.

I'd wait for in-hand reviews. I haven't ordered a SS figure since receiving an incredibly disappointing Batman that couldn't hold a single pose due to weak joints. Have they bothered to improve upon the bodies that they use? The pictures look so good for this figure, on some of the finer details, I can only assume mass production will drop the ball hard.

I can’t say they have to be honest when it comes to their bodies.

For Indy and Nathan Drake who share the same body, the shoulder hinge joint would regularly break.

For the recent Clone Wars Anakin and Obiwan, the hips would break.

For many of my comic Xmen and 2.0 comic DC figures the hips were pretty loose.

I have some parted out bodies from the recent Clint Eastwood figures though and those seem solid but maybe I got lucky.

With all that said, at this point, I sadly expect to have to mod an SSC figure to some degree out of the box unfortunately

Can’t say they have from what I remember. The last time I remember SSC trying rooted hair was waaaaaay back to the original Galadriel PF prototype that had rooted hair but ended up as fully sculpt in production

I personally have no issues with SS figures, however, I only have one (The Dude) so I can’t compare too much but it’s one of my favorites out of the collection so I have faith with this 2.0 release.

Already pre-ordered. Price point was acceptable enough to me. I realize it’s pretty barebones but the sculpt seems good. My only wish is that we could have gotten the tombstone as part of the package. I’ll definitely be getting a different stand.

Love the film and the character but not enough to shell out $280 for it. I'll try to pick it up on sale if it's still around but I doubt it will be.

Way too many people ready to throw $280 at SS for this which is just insane to me. But I just refuse to pay msrp for any SS figure.
