Posted by Sideshow on Facebook. Also not sure but are they attempting a rooted sculpt?
On the other hand, they're pretty good about taking returns and issuing full refunds when their final products disappoint I think?Looks great but I have trouble getting excited with any Sideshow announcements when their figures get downgraded to softness once production hits.
Let alone them attempting to do rooted hair for the first time on top of their usual production downgrades is extra risky.
That's a great looking prototype but I'd wait on production releasing before putting down any money down on it.
Them NOT doing rooted hair and releasing one downgraded figure after another hasn't stopped them from overpricing their figures. They charge Hot Toys prices ($300+) when their figures are Threezero quality. Also does this mean they think they can attach a premium price point to this figure?
Yeah, but I just hope they don’t think they can get into Hot Toys Artisan or InArt territory and try to justify this as a $400-$500 figure. In that case I’ll be out most likely.Them NOT doing rooted hair and releasing one downgraded figure after another hasn't stopped them from overpricing their figures. If anything, this just gives them an excuse to increase their pricing even further.
I can see them charging $350 for this but then you also need to factor in tax/shipping, pushing this close to $400. Sideshow figures are just not worth full price. I wish they would improve but they've been stagnant for years now. Which is always a shame because their prototypes look great. They just don't have the ability to match them in production.Yeah, but I just hope they don’t think they can get into Hot Toys Artisan or InArt territory and try to justify this as a $400-$500 figure.
