Has anyone seen if the Tombstone popcorn bucket displays well with the Sideshow Beetlejuice? Think it’s bigger it’s suppose to be but might still look good.

Thanks for sharing this @xXLEELANDXx really appreciate it!

I don't often share my work on the forums anymore since I figure eveyone is on instagram or Facebook but I was actually just coming her to share it as I wanted to share my thoughts on the figure and share what I did

So first of, I seem to recall thinking this figure was overpriced and I guess t was for a sideshow figure but in retrospect its really not at all for a rooted haired figure. I knew it was really a gamble getting it as a real hair sideshow figure seemed like it could go wrong in a lot of ways. But they really deserve a lot of credit. Full brand new body (which I did replace with a shortened version of my standard body on all suited figures as it just makes them look so much better) a really really good likeness and for a change the sculpt is not soft (nice texture in the skin). The clothes are manageable too, really. Color me impressed.

Of course the weakest part of the sculpt is the paint. it was just very flat and that weird green mustache was just... no . So I added details to the wrinkles, repainted the green globs more accurately and deeper in tone, and finessed the hairline with paint. I touched the teeth a bit and i blended the edges of his eye makeup. and the whole thing has a much more realistic finish which helps the texture pop a bit.

Other than that I painted in th whirte stitching on the suit gave him real boots from DID which i weathered and modified to shorten a bit and replaced which was the worst part of the clothes, the shirt with a Topo toys shirt that I weathered

The weirdest part was the tie sticking up. Which I refer to as a "tie boner" so I had to tack that down.

And then the hair i totally restyled and trimmed a bit on the top especially the temple area/sides to me thats what really sells the likeness

the end result? I really love it! To have a figure this good and not have to go the custom route is pretty awesome.

to me it has only one flaw still the stupid 2 part neck. I DESPISE this and wish Sidhow would move away from it. Nothing screams "doll" more to me than that!

@Raymond F. I thought I had followed your insta page from here but couldn't remember who it was haha
Just incredible work!
That paint job and hair really brings out the likeness in the yixie sculpt.
Like I said mine just got mailed today so I'll have him by the end of the week, and after seeing yours theres no way I can keep mine stock haha
How hard was it to port the neck onto another body?
The proportions were definitely something I had a problem with from the beginning but you totally fixed that with yours!
It totally looks like a man in a suit

Wait, what? That looks freakin' amazing! Stellar job.

I wanna reshare this 3D printed tombstone I got from KendallDesignStudio off Etsy 'cause I was having issues with the original post. He went above and beyond with turning a five-line maximum basic tombstone into a custom that looks a lot like the one from the movie...and didn't charge me a penny more.

It's definitely a bit oversized, but still a lot better than the super undersized Spirit Halloween version...plus it doesn't have the "Beetlejuice" logo at the bottom. Been thinking about getting the one you got and ditching the whole idea of buying the HT Beetlejuice just for the (undersized) tombstone. I can't imagine recuperating most of my money back with selling it minus the tombstone.
